  1. The prices went down on our Oasis of the Seas sailing this December too. Excursions have not yet. In fact they've gone up since we first started checking earlier this year. Here's hoping they will go back down to at least where they once were.
  2. I was bumming around pricing different cruises this morning when I came upon a neighborhood view stateroom with balcony guarantee on Harmony of the Seas in November, 2021 for $600 less then picking your own room and booked it right away. That room offer was gone the next time I looked it up about 30 minutes later. This price is a couple hundred dollars cheaper then the interior promenade view room I picked out on Oasis of the Seas this December. On a Majesty of the Seas cruise in 2016 I had booked a guarantee interior, thought I read somewhere that if you pay the room off as soon as you can you would get your room assigned. So I did just that and a few days later got a room at the front of the ship. I called Royal up and asked if it was possible to change rooms and they were able to move me to a room mid ship. I booked this one because of the price (an offer I couldn't refuse) and location. Unlike a regular interior, outside or even balcony room which could be almost anywhere on the ship (there's no guarantee once assigned a room you could get it moved), the neighborhood rooms would be limited to the Boardwalk or Central Park. If I was given a choice I would chose Central Park due to it's mid ship location. But I think I'll be happy wherever, and FWIW this will be our first balcony room and after this cruise we get to move up another Crown & Anchor tier to Emerald. I'm not going to pay this one off till close to final payment though, so we'll see which numbers the dice land on next year.
  3. I believe we had it via room service on Navigator of the Seas in 2018. We enjoyed it very much.
  4. I know they say Carnival is the Walmart of cruises, and I can see that in the last 2 cruises with them I've been on, but I have to admit, Guy's burgers, the French fries they serve and the crumbled bacon at their condiment bar are one of the reasons I'm going back this November.
  5. I though that too. I have 2 different sailings later this year with 2 different travel agents. One agent is for a Carnival cruise this November, and the other is for a Royal Caribbean cruise this December. I check the prices quite often, and every time the prices changed to my advantage, I had to call the travel agent to tell them about it.
  6. I know it's off topic and I hope no one else posted this, but I used to work in radio and every time I see FCC all I can think about is the Federal Communications Commission.
  7. I keep forgetting about this. It's nice to look at. However beware of the popups on those pages. I have to keep x-ing out and going back in sometimes when I change cameras.
  8. I could smell that poison near the stairway on other ships promenades as well. If they could only ban all smoking/vaping indoors on all ships, I for one would stay in the casinos longer. But then again, if I'm in the casino longer I'll be playing longer. I would have to set up a casino budget based on how much money I'd be willing to lose, not how long I could breathe. But I would be willing to try.
  9. That walk up the winding ramp that gets you on to the ship. I have a camcorder and film the latter part of it up. Can't wait to do it again this November and December ?
