  1. The top beach bag is not a D+ gift. I’ve no idea why it was left for me, no card, but the loyalty anbassador confirmed it is not a crown and anchor gift
  2. I stayed at Hotel Principe while in Venice. I had a room that had a balcony over the canal. This was a big stretch on my budget but I truly enjoyed the view. There was a great breakfast place across the street, a grocery store where we picked up wine and snacks to hang out on our balcony and all sorts of shopping as well as public transportation within a decent walk. The area seemed safe, though I’m sure like most cities pickpockets were around. We had one storekeeper warn us to be careful of the pickpockets.
  3. The caribbean chicken is excellent, a full plate of food. However, I strip the skin to eat it Most of the spice is on the skin-I strip it due to a dietary restrictions I have. the pork enchilada is a lot of food, very tasty. they ruined the Turkey dinner by putting peppers in the corn. My recent sailing on Oasis they had watery cranberry “sauce”, you would need a spoon -like a soup-to eat it.
  4. The wait staff ask about dietary needs on the first night in the MDR. Perhaps bring up your need to them.
  5. There’s an equally good chance the person at RC gave her a wrong answer
  6. I’m booked on Odyssey for Feb 25, can’t wait to try a new ship out of Bayonne. I’m hearing it’s not a “winter ship” like Anthem so it will be interesting to see how the sailing is.
  7. I don’t speak as a business person, just a standard WiFi user. Anthem has been horrific with starlink, worse than when it was Voom. I was just on Oasis and the WiFi was as close to perfect as can be, even in my forward ov cabin. The Diamond lounge was spotty after 11pm, I was not in there earlier to do a comparison. Symphony was very good. The smaller ships Grandeur and enchantment were not so great. Radiance was very good. For reference my idea of very hood is being able to go downloads, open web pages, send and receive emails, FaceTime or WhatsApp with family around midnight.
  8. I saw Matt’s blog that Anthem will go to Asia. Any idea when a repositioning cruise would happen and from where?
  9. Don’t forget you can each carry on one bottle of wine per person and a 12 pack water or soda per cabin. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/food-drink-onboard-policy
  10. I’m shocked the WiFi worked for him to do this. It’s been miserable on so many sailings. I understand his wife bailed him out. Shameful
  11. You can create a roll call for your sailing.
  12. Reservations are needed. as stated, once you board you can connect to ship WiFi and check availability, or ask where the box office is. On oasis of the seas it is deck 4 fed by the blaze. You could also ask the Diamond lounge concierge for assistance but I’m not familiar if they are present in the lounge early on day 1.
  13. Not sure which gift point range these are in gif D+, I’m above 525 but seem to have received 5 amenity gifts this cruise. I’ve attached pics of the beach bag and what I believe is the tote bag (blue and white stripe) That blue/white tote fits into the smaller blue/white zipper pouch. These are on Oasis.
  14. I can check in my cabin mates as well as any linked reservations when I use the app, this is for picking arrival time. after that each person can log in at their convenience and complete the check in process: papers, credit card #, contact info etc…
  15. Yes it will make a difference as means what it says. if by chance you choose individual but what your cabin are to have done if your onboard credit go to guest services and they can make an adjustment. My sister-in-law had her points converted and found she couldn’t use all of her OBC and guest services allowed her to transfer to me (I paid her back in cash) I’d contact the credit card company to inquire about how early/late that can be redeemed. If it is a Royal Caribbean visa this is the number for points redemption (888) 305-4626
  16. If you have linked your reservations you can do check in as well as reservations via cruise planner and entertainment for all. technically speaking if your husband swaps out with the teen in your room, and the cabins are not directly across or next to each other and the teens “do bad things” it could cause you huge trouble because Royal expects the adults to watch over their minors, that’s why rooms booked with just minors must be adjacent or directly across the hall. I’ve found it easier to just get the extra key and leave it in my cabin for use the other cabin, or get 2 extras-I carry one and the other is in my cabin for the second person to use when needed. everyone will need to carry their original seapass card for debarkation and embarkation as well as for anything requiring a purchase.
  17. The 2nd guest on the annual comp, regardless of their casino status or lack thereof, does not pay anything other than port fees/taxes and gratuities.
  18. I agree. I’ve been sitting at shared tables of 6-10 all year long.
  19. Prices don’t seem to drop. see if Air2sea -run by royal caribbean, has a better price? You can rebook or cancel them until final payment. air2sea +1 (844) 278-9745
  20. Wow. Not that it’s a solution but would they allow you to sail with the kids and then see if there is any sort of appeal process for the future?
  21. I’ve had the displeasure of visiting the windjammer for late night dinner (well before 9pm) and the only reason I’ve done it is from hunger from not eating the entree in the MDR. I couldn’t believe the food was so bad in WJ. This was on more than one ship. Just before WJ closes I’ve noticed white shirt uniforms with stripes come in for a meal, this has been on various ships. They eat the food, I guess something is better than nothing? I don’t know what the food islike earlier in the evening but in my opinion after 8:30 they’d be better off throwing it out.
  22. Below is the google translate of the article. The article has pictures of the camera and set up. The affidavit from FBI agent John Auchter, who handled the case, alleges that Froias boarded Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas cruise ship in Miami, Florida, on April 29 for a seven-day voyage. He adds that when the ship was sailing in international waters, "Froias installed a hidden Wi-Fi camera in a public restroom on the stern of Harmony's upper deck." He specifies that he located it in "a section of the wall above the door that had been removed to repair it." According to the FBI complaint, it was not until May 1, at about 7:00 p.m., when "another passenger noticed the hidden camera and reported it to the Harmony crew." Then, the security personnel occupied it. The FBI affidavit in Federal Court includes photos of the tiny camera and where it was hidden. The document narrates that the crew found the alleged owner of the camera after inspecting it, when they saw that it had a card to store the recordings. He added that by reviewing the contents, the ship's security was able to see that it had "several hours" of video files. “Initial videos show Froias hiding the camera and adjusting the camera angle to focus on the toilet area. Froias is also seen taking his Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max out of his pocket and appears to be connecting the phone to the hidden camera via Wi-Fi. Froias then comes out of the bathroom," the FBI said. "The other videos on the camera show more than 150 individuals, including what appears to be at least 40 minors," the complaint added. t also indicates that these people "are seen going into the bathroom to use the toilet or to put on or take off their bathing suits." "Froia's camera captured these individuals in various stages of nudity, including capturing video of their genitalia, buttocks, and female breasts," the FBI complaint said. That same day, around midnight, cruise ship security interviewed Froias, who "admitted to having placed the hidden camera in the bathroom." The defendant stated at that moment that he knew that the camera had been found because it was not there when he went to look for it on the afternoon of May 1. The FBI intervention occurred later, when the cruise docked in San Juan yesterday, May 3. The federal agent who filed the complaint indicated that he personally reviewed the videos and claims to have seen minors who could be up to 5 years old, as well as Froia arriving to "adjust the angle of the camera" on May 1 and observing the transmission. of the images on your iPhone phone.
  23. Did you book your cruise? You can call Air2Sea and inquire about a shuttle to LGA. If your cruise ends on a weekend in August your traffic should be light. If you end on a weekday you’ll be in traffic. For others reading this May and November have the bike tour and marathon, respectively. It can be a bit of a challenge getting around NYC and the outer boroughs, which you’ll need to do to get to Queens
  24. You are not required to dress up in the specialty restaurants. I’ve dined solo in them. Service is pretty quick typically. Bring your book and enjoy your meal. I’ve never tried take out. I don’t think I would-I’d hate to ruin a good meal.
