Sorry for your loss I would say be careful. A lot of times the phone reps will unfortunately give out bad information. They are usually pretty strict on if a person is not staying in the suite, they cannot access coastal kitchen or take advantage of the suite perks. With children under 12 they may make an exception, depending on the party size but not with adults. They will have no issues boarding with you, having the Key will help with all of that.

I don't think Royal's loyalty program is a bad off as people believe (i.e. too many). Those total numbers are about a third of the pax count, the higher tiers barely make up 10%.

There is usually a "formal night" and a "dress your best" on 7n or longer cruises. They are essentially the same thing. It basically means there will be an opportunity to take beautifully shot photos in your best attire.

Not 5k pax but a total of 5k people including all the crew. I think a 7N should be fine, I am doing a total of 11N on her in May. I have no qualms about finding things to do or whether I will enjoy myself. I prefer Oasis class only for the food offerings, but Freedom does have Playmakers, so I am fine. I think even on a larger class like Oasis can be boring to some people if you don't like the offerings.

The steak at Hooked is 10x better than the one at Chops. TBH every steak from everywhere is better than the one a Chops imho.

The fact that my points change/disappear is a pain. I always remove my card or tap it again to get the right point total. But seeing who won is not safe.

I use Wi-Fi calling on Voom but it doesn't always work on every ship. I text regularly on Voom as well.

Chocolate croissants are my go-to breakfast food. I believe they were in the Crown Lounge everyday but one on Wonder, I had to get a chocolate donut instead. I am always shocked at how little people research their vacations. So many people wait until they board to buy things.

For me the ones that include Freeplay. Since I am prime only and average about 2k a sailing, my offers are mostly interiors and OV. But they can include $25/50 Freeplay. Currently 3/7 offers are the "get 1 complementary guest when you buy one" and those imho are the worst offers.

I have to catch myself, as a Chicagoan from using our abbreviations. I used CPS/CPL in something to mention Libraries and it caught the person off-guard.

I was getting a random lady who I never sailed with CR mailers. They just attached my address to her account......Royal's IT is amazing. It took a while but I now get mailers. I get more offers online than through the mail.

Were the biscuits dry at Mason Jar? The honey butter biscuits in the WJ were better than the ones from MJ. Spring break is from the 25th in Chicago and several of my coworkers are going on Wonder, Icon and Oasis that week, so expect tons of children until at least mid-April.

We went in 2019, the Oct before the pandemic and it was a mess. We saw a few abductions and such on the news. We stayed at Harrah's for 2 nights, the Adler hotel for the rest, and I loved the area. Plus, my brother was obsessed with the Harrah's buffet.

I want better offers. I've been getting around 1-2 offers a month since they "fixed" my address. But it's a lot of buy 1 guest get one free for Oasis class ships that aren't of value to me. I have two offers and both are for Utopia and Allure's short sailings in July and August......I don't sail during those months.

I mean that from an exterior and interior point. I loved that your daughters still wanted physical books and how they still enjoyed dinners and activities together with their parents despite being teenagers.

Happy cruise day. My brother got Indian food at the WJ everyday. It was his post dinner meal. He went around 6:45 every night before our 8pm or later dinner. It keeps in the room well because you can eat rice and curries cold. One thing I will say that I was on the ship before 10:30 at PC every time I had a 10:30 check in.

I am with you. I've decided it's B2B or S2S from now on. Its not worth it to fly and do 5/7 days. I just start to get relaxed after 4/5 days. I decided my last 7n only sailing is Alaska in September.

They don't allow outside food. I would assume those waffles require some sort of preservation be it fridge or freezer. You won't have access to any of that. No toasters for the public. But there are pancakes everyday.

My brother loves the chicken picatta from GT. Also they have the best minestrone soup. But we sat through Cats on our Oasis sailing. So many people left, as is their right, but it not a good show. 90min is even too long, and I am a cat mama. So I actually love cats but the musical is a mess.

Since its now only once a day service I was told there was no more service on embarkation unless multiple beds needed to be made. I.e there was 3+in a room and berths/sofas needed to be made. My service on my S2S2S wasn't that great either. There was no way they vacuumed on Wonder and it wasn't really clean in general after the 1st day. Question, was your room wide open on embarkation day?

I don't eat bbq sauce on my meat. I love a good dry rub. Maybe that is why I didn't care for Mason Jar because the meat didn't taste seasoned or tender. Unlike Portside, which tasted great without sauce.
