  1. I think maybe two days ago the option became available. I sail in Jan and was waiting to book my UDP black Friday and most of the times are sold out on Symphony. I like to eat later so it's not a big deal for me because all the restaurants still have after 8:30s available but a lot of the lunch ad earlier times are gone. Plus, they are still going to hold back ......also be careful as it takes into consideration things you have booked.
  2. Hey Chris Glad you all made it to Japan safely. My brother and I met you on Quantum in Sept and you were probably one of the most humble, sweet and engaging casino host I have ever encountered. My brother did a solo trip to Japan in 2016 and visited some of the places you went, he brought me Japanese Yen as a souvenir. I am glad Royal is going places like this.
  3. They did just roll out the ability to book your UDP reservations, but the option is only available on newly booked packages. My personal rule of thumb is to book 7pm-ish shows because that is the time most people want to eat dinner and then have my dinner ressies around 8-ish. But baring a swap of port the offerings in the compasses will be the same or if not 90% similar.
  4. I believe it is 5am to 5am with the exception of embarkation day, when it is whatever time you board until 5am the second day. You cannot carry drinks over. Since I am prime in the casino as well as D+ I often go to Cafe Promenade and get the rest of my drinks in can soda, juice or red bull to stock my cooler.
  5. My understanding is that they will split the points. So anything earned after the 1st will be credited to the new year and I have heard on some occasions if it starts on the 31st, it is completely credited to the new year.
  6. Hey Vincent do you mean cruise compasses because the cruise planner is accessible to everyone when they book their cruise. Also if you have the app you can click on the current cruise that shares your itenarary and get an idea.
  7. In my travels across Europe getting water and not paying has never been a thing. I think the only time I didn't pay for water was on the U.K. Considering MSC is a European based line, I can understand mineral water only. The £15 deal isn't a bad one.
  8. @Pattycruise I was told by several reps that as of July something in 2023 they will no longer apply the annual prime certificate to a NC booking. I was successfully able to do it beforehand and lose the OBC. They said NC is considered a discount and going forward they will cancel and rebook, meaning you lose the deposit.
  9. Reminder that each cruise is independent of itself. So, while the staff may know you are back-to-back, the system itself doesn't. The only true perk you might be able to take advantage of is being able to book specialty dining earlier. In 95% of cases everything will be cheaper by purchasing the add-ons beforehand.
  10. Congrats on making prime. As long as the booking wasn't a Next Cruise booking you should be able to apply your Prime certificate. The 2000pt cert has to be a new booking through a next cruise booking or you can apply the value of it to the other half of the B2B you have booked.
  11. My guess would be late Oct and early Nov.
  12. You only pay a fee if you cancel/rebook the cruise. Any add-ons purchased through the cruise planner can be cancelled as much as you prefer until a few days before you leave. Unless its specifically says nonrefundable.......which I don't know anything on there that is .
  13. You didn't list what itineraries they are doing. Personally you can't go wrong with either. To me it would come down to price. Both will have enough for you family to enjoy. But an extra day and sailing/flying from FLL is also preferable.
  14. I was under the impression that the op meant the DX, the UDP has no drinks included. But I want to point out that if you have the DX, none of the staff will use your Diamond drinks. With any other drink package they will ask if the item isn't included.
  15. Looks like Vintages has been added to the UDP Royal Caribbean makes a key onboard package bigger and better (msn.com)
  16. I am glad there was minimal damage to those of you in the somewhat path. My mother's house was okay, they had a little damage nearby, but mostly everything is okay. While it might seem great to get an extended cruise day, I am sure there are passengers onboard who have damage and want to get home.
  17. OMG I want the chocolate bubble cone thing.
  18. I can definitely understand the fear of birds. I can't say I'm a fan of birds per se, but I don't mind them.....not like monkeys. I notice that depending on the ships locale the way food is prepared and presented will differ. My brother has had the polenta fries a couple of times and I think only once has he had the described sauce.
  19. So there have been some for "free" cruises on Icon but it has been listed under an extremely high point threshold, it has been the same for Wonder and Odyssey as well. 7-night cruises on the bigger newer ships are always at a high threshold. Now if you are asking only about Icon being offered as an annual prime cert I would look at possible 2026. Icon is selling well and popular, and also more so the most family-friendly, so the casino might be limited in what rooms they comp.
  20. Beignets should be a little hollow in places. Casino tip: scan the QR code at the host desk and you can see the list and points needed to get a comped cruise.
  21. I hope everyone is staying as safe as they can. I also hope @Neesa is okay. My mother left Arcadia yesterday for Jacksonville to try to ride out Milton. They didn't feel much from Helene, but they were afraid during this one.
  22. The suites are located on this deck. I believe sometimes there is restricted access. In some instances, there are elevators that don't even go.
  23. Hmmmmm where are you getting $3 champs? Even in bulk prices the champs won't be that cheap.
  24. Could be from about 60 days......on down. I think there will be 1 or 2 shows that you can prebook on Quantum class, The book, and another weird one.
  25. Considering she is a new ship; I wouldn't expect much until she starts sailing which is I believe July of 2025. In most cases, even with older ships, the cruise planner doesn't really start to populate unto 6-9month before the sailing.
