Has anyone experienced the Ocean World Day Pass excursion in Puerto Plata? If so, how was it?

How far are the water taxis from the port? Is it a short walk?

To add on to this question, is it a far walk from the port to get a water taxi?

Just confirming- JR meals are included in the UDP? 

I just received an update from RC via email with a new itinerary. Now we're visiting Puerto Plata and Sint Maarten instead of Puerto Rico and Labadee.

The CDC recently listed several popular cruise ports at a level 4. All my ports of call, except Puerto Rico, are on the list. And I've heard RC isn't visiting Puerto Rico due to the testing requirements. Can anyone offer insight for what I can expect on my Feb 11 sailing? 

@AshleyDillo what do you think is the reason for the difference in notification time? Could it be related to bids for a suite?

Is it common for individuals on the same sailings to receive an update about winning RU at different times? Someone on my sailing said they win their bid on Jan 4. For a 2/11 sailing.

How are things on Anthem? I'll be on that ship in 20days. I sailed on Anthem at the end of November and had a GREAT experience.

Quick story.

I was in the app looking over the check-in prompts and noticed for a quick 10 seconds I could not see my stateroom or muster station. It was blank. I got soooo excited thinking my royal up was accepted.... Then my original stateroom appeared.... My heart sank . I'm 25 days out so it's not to late. LOL

I think Great Bay Beach would be the way to go then - it's along a strip of shops downtown and it's easily walkable from the port or accessible via Water Taxi. 

While Maho Beach is a unique experience, I found it to be touristy. 

Do you know the price range of the water taxi? We planned to book through RC. Thanks so much for your help

Do you all have a preference of the two: Maho Beach vs Great Bay Beach? I'm looking for a low cost beach excursion that included a complimentary beach chair and access to purchase local foods

I'm on a Feb sailing and I'm just wondering. 

For about 2weeks my Feb 11 sailing on Anthem was missing from the website, but now it's back. There seems to be A LOT of available rooms, especially suites. Just curious if RC would cancel if passenger counts are too low.

If you win a Star Class suite through Royal Up do you get all the benefits associated with it?

Thanks for the feedback. Chops is $80pp for Valentine's day and we could do Chops +Jamie's Kitchen for that price (we enjoy both restaurants). I just wanted to have a special dinner and I didn't know what to expect in MDR. Maybe we'll snag Chef's Table if someone cancels.
