  1. Actually, that cleaned up rather nicely (not to mention, quickly).
  2. It's been a number of years since I have cruised with NCL but I have a general feeling that, just like with Carnival, you are far better off with the newer, bigger ships.
  3. I would not recommend that you <ever> pay the entire balance. Always leave a small balance until final payment. If you book under US booking rules (USA or Canada) you can reprice the cruise as many times as you like (assuming the cruise fare goes down...unlikely, but possible) right up until final payment is due. While technically you can do that even if you pay the cruise in full, it is always EASIER to reprice if you still owe a balance. There are some things (such as transferring your booking to a Travel Agent) that become very much more difficult if you have paid your balance in full. You might also consider booking a refundable fare (as long as you're not in a Grand Suite or higher). That way, you can change your mind and get a refund right up until final payment date. The baseline price on a refundable fare is going to cost more but it gives you far more flexibility than a non-refundable fare does.
  4. Once was enough for us. We even had a friend with us to try and help eat it all but we failed miserably. It's an inside joke now, between Dan and me. I think everyone (if you eat seafood, of course) should try it but there is just no way we can eat all of it....even the small one.
  5. Congratulations !!! Big threshold
  6. I think you will be happy with your O-T-W cabana choice. It is a wonderful experience. ....and think about it....how many people who booked cabanas, bungalows and clam shells for Coco Cay are going to NOT be able to get a corresponding experience on Labadee ? There are waaay more of these facilities available on CC than Labadee. Some people aren’t going to get them. Star Class WAS a huge advantage for this change of itinerary.
  7. I’m with you. On Oasis our sea passes were the color that Sky class used to have (kind of a purplish-red). Nobody got the deep purple (almost black) ones. I can’t actually recall seeing any Sky level sea pass cards so I don’t know what color they were. I prefer it the old way but it truly did not impact my experience in any negative way, so....
  8. 2 weeks ago on Oasis, Dan had a white WOW band and I had a blue one. He used his, I did not. I don’t think there is a SC distinction for WOW bands.
  9. What a wonderful start ! So glad the pre-arrival tips were helpful. I never get tired of that NYC skyline from the river. I always get chills. I’m very surprised that your suite wasn’t ready until 1PM. I’ve never had to wait that long. There must have been an “issue”. Looks like the SC food coma is well under way. Great job. Be sure and order your seafood towers at Chops. It’s a right of passage for SC. Bumper cars tomorrow ? I hope your itin doesn’t get hooped up (see, I can speak Canadian !). Very happy to hear that Andres can still get you a cabana, if you have to settle for Labadee. I assume that means that there would not be any other ships there that day. Lucky.
  10. Are there Genies in Golden Class ? Do you have unlimited drinks and dining ? Reserved seating for shows ?
  11. I was thinking the same thing. She must be a magnet for incident and accident !
  12. Yep, it looked like it was the whole corner of the MDR on 2 levels !! So glad to hear that nobody was seriously injured. The view from Oasis was really the best one. It doesn't look like Legend took any real damage at all. Probably just some paint.
  13. It looked even closer than that but the video didn't have the greatest angle from the aft. Yikes !!!
  14. Cruise day, cruise day, cruise day !!! YIPPEE !!!!! You should be on board by now....how'd it go ??
