Getting full value from a UDP (for us, anyway) really depends on how many times you are able to utilize the pkg for lunch. On a 3 night cruise It is unlikely that there will be any sea days (which is the only time specialty restaurants will be open for lunch) so I would only expect to be able to use you dining pkg for dinners. Depending upon the price, it may or may not be a good value for dinner only. If you think that you and your daughter would be using the pkg more than once per night (we cannot eat that much do the answer to that question for us is definitely “no”) then maybe it would be worth it….but Allure does not have Playmakers so I can’t image where else you would dine in addition to your standard specialty restaurants.

No kitchenettes on any Royal Caribbean ships.

Casino Royale Offer Received After Cruise Booking
WAAAYTOOO replied to YellowBrickRoad's topic in Casino Royale
Back in the old days, they would just make the switch for you without much ado, but those days are long gone (sorry, I know that's of no help to you now). If your TA is not experienced with casino bookings I would be loathe to ask them to do this kind of switcho-chango for you. Not only is it likely to be a very stressful maneuver, as @Ampurp85 mentioned, you would basically be snatching money right out of the TA's hand for their trouble. My advice would be to keep the booking you have and use the cert for another cruise. I know that's not always possible due to work schedules and travel expenses, but that would be the most prudent thing to do. If that is not an option, I guess there's really no option other than to thrust your TA into that difficult position. -
I hope they ditch the bionic bar. What a waste of valuable real estate.

We almost never get off the ship at Labadee (or most anywhere else, TBH). You absolutely can stay on the ship. Most of the bars and all of the specialty restaurants will be closed but there will always be somewhere to get something to eat and something to drink.

Just curious booking in advance
WAAAYTOOO replied to Kcusack89's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
This family member would be smart to place a refundable deposit now and have the option to cancel later if they change their mind. NOT saying that this applies in your case...but it has been my very frequent experience that if a family member or friend is hesitant to book, they will most likely back out in the end, anyway. My guess is, that relative that is hemming and hawing about finding a "deal" is really just using it as an excuse to NOT book. I hope I'm wrong but that has been my experience. Good luck !! -
Suite guarantee just means Junior suite correct?
WAAAYTOOO replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yes, the VP suites have all of the suites amenities that are applicable to the ship you are sailing on. On the V/F class ships that does not include internet. So yes to suites lounge access and breakfast at Chops (or wherever the suites breakfast is held). The suites amenities only apply to the VP category. It does not apply to the 1L category. …so there are only 2 of these suites on any of the V/F class ships. -
Suite guarantee just means Junior suite correct?

Like @AshleyDillo,we have stayed in the panoramic suites on the V/F class and the lack of a balcony was not an issue at all. My negatives for those suites has to do with their location and the amount of motion you feel by being way forward. The rooms themselves are very nice - except for the bathroom, which is no different from a regular OV balcony or even an interior, for that matter. -
WOW Royal C&A does not want to send me my crystal block!

You get it on the cruise where you cross the threshold. So if you are due to pass 140 on your next cruise, you will get it on your next cruise !!! -
Probably a moot point now (nearly 1300) but even if you weren’t able to snatch your Seapass card from your cabin hallway, you can always go up to the Crown Lounge and bang on the door. There’s nearly always someone in there that will let you in. If you have to hang out, that’s the place I would soonest do it !

^^This^^ Dan and I have discussed many times, recently, that we would be out of the cruising business if we had not moved to FL when we did. It's not just a matter of $$$, but the stress of flying these days has gone up exponentially. Add the inconvenience of a hotel stay and it is just overwhelming. My hat is off to those of you who are flying in these days.

Suite guarantee just means Junior suite correct?

It depends upon the GTY code. There is a code (not very common, but it does exist) for a GS GTY. I do not know the exact code, but there is one. For this GTY, you are guaranteed a Grand Suite or higher. MOST of the Suite GTYs are basically JS GTYs and the chance of getting anything higher than a JS is very low. -
With the 3 night package, you get 3 complimentary meals. If you choose to use 1 of them on an a la carte meal, then there goes one of your 3 meals.

While they may claim that 10 is the max at one table, I have seen 12 many times. It can be snug, but they can do it.

Just from remote observation, it does appear that the Aqua Theater is smaller in both actual size and seating capacity. I haven't seen it for myself, but it seems like it's just smaller all the way around. ....and what genius didn't realize that the front of the ship was going to have more motion than the rear ? It seems like a questionable modification, TBH.
