what is wrong with people........i have No idea what you are implying here......that you and I buy the exact same item at the exact same store for the exact same sale...and you get the 50% off that is advertised and I get 0%

What the hell is so hard to comprehend what I am saying....

THIS is what's wrong with the world right now....there is ZERO common sense..

That's not a great analogy. When a store has a sale, it's generally not 50% off everything in the store. Jeans may be $5 off, t-shirts may be 30% off, sweaters may be 20% off, and jackets may not be on sale at all.

That's not unfair to those looking for a jacket, it's just bad luck.

No...its not bad luck..lol.... I would hate to see you running a business......sorry customer B, just your bad luck that the same pair of jeans that customer A got for 50% off, you get 0% off for the same item and sale....

    It doesn't matter...its a 0% sale for me..for ALL 3 cruises i have booked...

just MY BAD LUCK i guess....🙄

Yes, but you need to call in and request this. It can't be done online

If you call in they will likely allow one to have DBP and the other refreshment for you to do as you suggest

That's great news! I was wondering about this as we will be Diamond Status after our next 2 cruises and these 7 day drink packages add up!

  4. Zero interest in paying hundreds of dollars to sit on a strip of land in Nassau...when I have already paid hundreds or thousands for the cruise already.

I am sure some ppl will use it....the same ppl that don't mind spending 4k to sit in a nice chair on Cococay.....insane.

Coco cay used to be a looked forward to day...not now. I don't ever care to set foot on it again.  And anyone that i have talked ot about it feels the same way. Same for me with this junk. if I wanted a beach resort I would pay for one...not pay for a cruise AND a beach resort.

Royal tries to sell you on doing this for the customers experience or whatever PC BS they come up with...if you believe that, i have a bridge to sell you...lmao.

Its all corporate greed and profit...I cant wait for Royal to eventually see that....its crazy they would spend this much on new ships and such when we are not 2 years out from Covid and almost being bankrupt.....to think that cant or wont happen again??!. Or a recession just around the corner and all of a sudden they have a lot of money spent and no one can visit or afford it..

  5. I don't get your reply to my statement.

I haven't talked to you...if you are ok with high costs and lack of amenities and starting to pay for slices of pizza at night..then you are not MOST ppl(or not most ppl in my social economic status )

I wasn't talking about inside cabins on a  new ship...booked 4x and just got off a cruise in a GS......not my demographic nor the type of cruiser i was referring to but..

Bailey needs to take the axe away from Jason Liberty; if he keeps chopping, they won't have to worry about crowding anywhere.

    THIS...100%.

2024 and 2025 are going to be bad years....economically....he's not doing himself any favors right now. Seems most ppl I talk about cruising to are talking about high costs, and lack of service, cuts in programs, entertainment etc...and talking about checking other cruise lines or consider cheaper vacations....

  7. yeah...that ONE spot on a 17 deck cruise ship with 4000 ppl, and i have to trek to find some lukewarm coffee sitting in those containers for hours...its great!..lol

But I guess my overall take away from the OP is that, he needs to worry more about these little things...Royal is getting too big too quickly imho and the small things(and some bigger things) are starting to change and slip away. And not in a good way.

Other than the perception the DL is "exclusive", it really does not have that much to offer. I would go by there to get coffee around 5am because there is almost no where to get coffee at that time in the morning. Even then, the coffee machine in the DL would not be stocked or out of order on more than one occasion.

Pretty bad when on a vacation, that its hard to find coffee??!!

Another example of Royal not being in tune with the basics of vacations for the average family.

cant find coffee in the morning...wont be able to eat at night unless you want to pay for pizza....it might seem small to Royal, but that's what people like me care about.

Michael Bayley needs to start getting back to the basics...fancy and expensive ships aren't that important when basic's aren't taken care of.

  9. Royal is gonna drop the ball if they start nickel and diming cruisers on top of the high prices and low to no perks included with their cruises.

I mean...if I book a cruise and I cant eat after 9pm unless I pay for it....that's NOT how cruising has ever been.

First it was midnight buffets gone..then you had to pay for room service to eat, now you wont be able to get a slice of pizza without paying for it....

I talk, read, study almost daily the cruise industry....Royal cant keep going like this.

  10. Its a slippery slope...that's the issue. Do I care about a few bucks for pizza...not really. But its the principal.

More and more is becoming pay to use or eat with Royal and many other cruise lines.

When Cabana for 6 hrs cost $15k Canadian....its gong to turn alot of ppl off from cruising....or its going to become just for the rich and elite.

When you could feed a family for a year for the price of an inside cabin on Royals new ships...at some point something is going to give.

And then to start charging for so many things now.....even compared to when I started cruising just a few years ago...its defn changing the appeal and affordability of cruising.

Got it a week ago for January '24 5 day on Mariner. The port tax only increased $5. Size matters (the ship, that is 🤪)?

Nope...we are on Freedom...same class....so that doesn't explain why my charge is almost triple.

its ok....i am just waiting for the cruise industry(and the economy in general) to crash soon and all these insane greedy outrageous prices wont be a issue. Its coming....later 24 or early 2025.

When a inside room on a new cruise ship could feed a family for a year....you know things cant keep going at that pace.
