Visiting Bermuda for the first time. Looking on the map trying to figure out options.
Looks like Hamilton is aways away from the dock. Different zones and busses to take and have to have exact change or get tokens?
The ferry, does it take you right to Hamilton or to Horseshoe Bay? Looks like Royal excursions are pricey and don't give us the flexibility we like when exploring.
Leaving in 23 days so hoping to get some plans made.

agreed..seems weird based on the pricing....I am thinking of upgrading for a cpl $ a day, probably worth it.

How hard it is to get an Uber to go from LGA or JFK over to the Newark area for a hotel? Hotels are about $75-100/cheaper a night and we sail out of Bayonne so have to be in that area the next day.
Debating on taking a Uber flight from the airport to Bayonne area when we land to get that long drive overwith.....just wondering if there is any problem getting a Uber or lyft to go that far..looks like about a 90 minute drive or so depending on traffic??!

Mich Ultra exceeded the classic package drink limit
upgrading to premium is the way to go.
well they wont be excluding it for me..according to their list, its on the classic and have it printed off from their website....

I think its pretty much sold out..probably no cabins available to make a switch now unfortunately.
-
I got lucky and ended up booking a Prime Oceanview on the 8th deck .....8103.....overlooking the bow....and got the classic drinks and wifi included for free......gotta love error pricing on websites when you get lucky like that!!
I think i will defn pay the small amount to upgrade now to the premium!!!

Interesting......i hate to book if prices are high right now...but they don't show you seats/cabins sold like a cruise or airline so a little harder to know when to pull the trigger!
Says they have a sale coming up starting Sept 3-7 so going to chance to wait till then I think and hopefully make it a little better...it's almost as much as my flight from Canada to Orlando return...doesn't seem right.

Ok..so at $600 for a 3 day cruise extra for drinks and wifi...I might as well say NO and just purchase the drink package on its own.
I am totally fine for a 3 day cruise for beer and basic drinks!...

Not quite the same question..but i am looking to book a Celebrity cruise and debating between all in or not.
Anyone have an idea of the classic drink price....just an average norm to go by?
-
Any idea what "normal" prices are for a ride from MCO- FLL?
They seem to vary from $49-$309 for the dates I need. It seems it was much cheaper before(at least the high end).
At an average of $129 each way...that's almost $800 CADfor 2 ppl to get from Orlando-Fll return.....seems high?

$125 and 35 mins from port to JFK?...i am ok with that......looks like this will be a one time only cruise out of NYC....flights are cheap..but the rest is crazy expensive...
-
I do have a passport...and used facial when cruising out of Miami this past winter with no issues so hopefully...
Its a Thursday morning...only hope is to be the first one off the ship and hope the rest goes smoothly from there.

I think you can still make it if you self disembark. In my experience we have always cleared customs before 7:30am.
That's the plan....cause 12 hours in NYC is going to cost a lot with that much time to kill.......flying Jet Blue so hoping its not too far from the drop off area to Terminal 5.

Ended up changing our flights to JFK...now they have moved them even earlier....concerned about a10:57am departurehow crazy is it to get from Bayonne to JFK on a Thursday morning?

Looking forward to my first cruise to Bermuda..and am looking forward to staying there overnight. I think its great way to explore more. Mine is a 5 nigther in Oct....I think there is a 5 night out of Baltimore that stays actually less time.....it only gets into port at 1:30pm and leaves 12:30 the next day.
I'll take 2 full, days and a night there no issues.
As for weather, i thought October the weather was nice in Bermuda..outside of a hurricane but that is true anywhere

Port of Bayonne to EWR..looks like it only a few miles away...anyone have experience with this? Is it a short quick ride over....or is it usually chaotic at the port to get out. It would be the only ship in port I would think so....?

Sure....why not. it would be one way to prevent pools from closing as often and being overcrowded. Why bother having a kids pool area that is hardly used as they all hang out in the main pools.
But I don't know why 2 year olds needs to be in a deep pool to "swim"...seems to me that the kids area would be the place for kids to be

I agree that that show has changed., I couldn't believe it was an afternoon show on our last cruise on Freedom. I want to say it wasn't even on our Liberty cruise, but that was a short 3 day cruise. And on our cruise before that, it was not very well attended or that well done at all.
We brought 2 new couples to cruising on Freedom and had talked about how much fun and crazy the Love and Marriage show can be. Was disappointed to miss it, as afternoon on a cruise in the south during wintertime, is NOT when i want to be in the theater for a show.
That being said, the CD makes a big difference when it comes to that type of thing for sure. After having Marc "Bing Bong" CD for my first 4 or 5 cruises, i was spoiled as he is everywhere, all the time with lots going on and energy. -
Kids should have to swim and play in kids pools.....pretty simple and easy solution.
We wonder every cruise, and we have done a few, why the cruise lines don't enforce pool rules and/or make kids stat in the kids pool areas. Often the kids area was dead and empty on our Freedom cruise..they were all in the main pools and hotubs., I joked we should have taken over that area, but I am sure Royal would be quick to kick us out if that happened.

Thanks for the great info @SMOKEY0202.....just what i wanted to know and looking for.
I wont sweat it then ahead of time...sounds easy and straightforward...and we like to be more on our own schedule than an excursion.
