UDP can usually be boiled down to a price per person per day.  Pricing varies depending on the ship, how new or if it's been AMPED.

The range is typically $20 to $29 per person per day.

The newest ships will be at the high end of the range, like $29.

Older ships that have fewer specialty dining venues and no Playmakers will be on the lower end of the range, like $20 or $22.

Navigator that has been AMPED and has Playmakers and Hooked is often in the middle of this range, I see it for $23 or $24 depending on cruise length.

Last year around Thanksgiving the UDP dropped to $16 per person per day.  So it does go on sale, just not very often.

Like most things in the Cruise Planner, demand or sales trends can impact the price you see for your sail date.  A guest on the same ship a week later might see a different price.

$175 for 7 nights is $25 per person per day.  For Oasis or Allure before AMP that's average.  For Oasis or Allure after AMP that's a good price and it will likely rise to $29 at some point although absent of a Hooked venue perhaps not.

Check often for price drops but once sales reach a threshold they will stop offering the UDP for a particular cruise date.  So if interested buy it and watch for price drops because once it's withdrawn it rarely appears again for that cruise date.

That's good to know, on my Radiance to Hawaii cruise they are offering it a $199 for 10 days...and the 5 day $119.

  2. Usually C&A can find your points if you can give they the sail date... they just wont search unless you have more precise info. Sometimes a photo with have a time stamp. If you have sailed 5 times and they were 7 day cruises you should have 35 cruise points and you would be Platinum. Casino plays don't add to you C&A points.

I leave Friday 8/23 for my first cruise. I live in Baltimore and the ship leaves from New Jersey. We have to be on the ship by 11am. We had planned to leave by 6:30am Friday morning, is that enough time?

Does anyone know how th drive from Baltimore to Jersey is? Any advise is appreciated? Help I am stressing!!

We have done the drive but the inverse, Newark (very close to cruise port) to Baltimore cruise port and it took us just under 4 hours but we stopped for gas (was a rental and needed to return it full) it was a simple trip so you should be fine for 11am even with parking. I think we took 95 all the way.

    Enjoy your cruise!

    Thanks for the info!

I always assumed the sauna/steam room would be inclusive on the symphony of the seas.

That's pricey per visit since I can barely do 10 minutes in there but absolutely love it.

This is why I try to stay on the ships that still offer this service/benefit for free...although they are slowly removing the free saunas and steam rooms from some of the older ships too...

  5. The sauna and steam rooms on the Radiance of the Seas are complementary and they are inside the changerooms. They do have those heated beds at the rear of the Spa, not sure of the cost but if you have a massage or treatment you are able to relax on them for free also. The Radiance also has an indoor pool and a jacuzzi by the spa which is also complementary. The first day of the cruise they offer tours into the spa so you could visit the area and see what they offer and the prices.

Last year I was on Vision of the Seas - which had The R Bar.   It had a Jalepeno Cucumber Margarita that became my favorite drink.     In September I'll be on Radiance of the Seas - - - - - no R Bar.     Does anybody know if you can get a Jalepeno Cucumber Margareta on Radiance?

Are you doing the Vancouver to Hawaii cruise? We will be on that one...sounds like a cool spicy drink...?

  7. We were booked on 3 B2B cruises this Nov/Dec on the Explorer a 9 night a 5 night and another 9 night....they chartered the middle 5 night cruise....so we do the first 9 night get off the ship go to a hotel 1 night get on the Navigator for 4 nights and then switch over to the Explorer for the last 9 night cruise....our compensation was $100 OBC. We booked the same room for all 3 cruises....talk about bad luck...

I don't think they should be able to charter a ship out and just cancel your booking....

In our case this has only happened once before when they sold the Legend of the Seas.

Your paperwork/receipt from Air2Sea will show your actual airline confirmation number. Use that to access your reservation directly with the carrier and confirm you have seats (you probably do). Then use it again at 24 hours prior to actually check in and print your boarding passes.

That's what we do.  Enjoy your cruise!
