Exiting the ship, a cross wind blew my $50 Tilly hat off my head into the drink between the ship and the dock.
Thank you for sharing. I will have to watch my hat when I get off ship.

Are you able to purchase photos individually? How much do they run?

@wllm1969 this is a great analysis of the drink package. Thank you.
To make it clear this is not my creation. I found it on this message board.

I bought the Key also. For lunch, do I have to set up reservation or do I just show up to where Key members eat?

This might help in determining if you need a drink package.

10 ways to save money when booking a Royal Caribbean cruise
I would suggest getting a Travel Agent. They often can get better deals than what you can on Royal Caribbean website. Also, search blog post for most suggestions.

Consider getting European Travel Plug Adapter. As I read on here there are European outlets in the rooms.

Wifi and wifi calling are different. We enabled WiFi and just used the apps. No danger of the phone coming out of airplane mode or any hidden charges. I dont believe regular texting works over WiFi.
You can use apps like WhatApp to send text messages, voice or video calls.

Hello. Hubby and I cruised once, 20 years ago, before kids. We are sailing next summer on the 4 night Navigator cruise, stopping in Coco Cay twice and Nassau once.
We will be in a two bedroom stateroom.
We will be traveling with another family, who has an ocean view room.
Four kids between the two families, all are teens.
Please share any helpful advice/pointers that can help us figure it all out. It’s a lot to figure out!
Thanks in advance for any pointers/suggestions!
I am first time cruiser also and I have learned so much by listening to podcast, read message boards post and watching the videos. Matt has live chats on YouTube and on Facebook couple times a week. Great opportunity to ask your questions.

Here is a walk though of Brilliance-of-the-Seas ship.

I am first time cruiser also. I sail in Feb. I have found that going on YouTube offers a lot of information and great ideas. Enjoy your cruise.

You should not have a problem.

My wife and I will be celebrating our 15 Anniversary on Brilliance of the Seas Feb 8 2020. This will be our first cruise.
-
Go to the Cruise Planner. They are offering sales now. I would purchase now and check back from time to time to see if it gets cheaper.

No travel agent should charge you for their services for booking a cruise. Period.
I just want to thank you for all your work in doing the Blog and the Live chats. I have learned so much about Royal Caribbean and can't wait until February when I go on Brilliance of the Seas. When I book another cruise I know better. I have already told friends of mine not to go with TA that will charge.

Can't necessarily help on the fee woes, but I can add something when it comes to The Key. We did inquire about the Key from our travel agent when we were thinking about whether it was worth it for our upcoming sailing. She hadn't used it and reported to us that none of her clients had (at that time either--this was May or June if memory serves). It may not be something that all travel agents have experienced/utilized at this point, since it seems that it is still a relatively new program.
Good point.
It's official, my first cruise is booked!!

Congratulations. Think about searching Facebook for a group page for your sailing. Search with ships name and sail date.
