Agree on using Uber/Lyft. The shuttles run on strange times and we're definitely more expensive than Uber. Have done it at both FLL and MIA ports.
The Holiday inn express on 17th I can also recommend

I paid for the NC booking on 2/10/23 on Anthem. I booked on 2/13/23 with them on the phone from home, so just a mere 3 days later. So looks like I need to call.

So we weren't sure which Alaska 2024 sailing we wanted to book so did the book later Next Cruise booking. We decided on a cruise and I called last night to book. Got the cabins I wanted,ok no problem. But when looking at the receipt, I see balcony NRD and 30% off savings. No OBC listed below that. Do you not get OBC like you do if you do a regular booking? Or do I just need to call back and have someone correct it?
Thanks for the help.

On Anthem now, bag was filled with ice and 6 water bottles of the True water. Plus the 4 we get for D+, we are pretty set for the week.
It is a nice bag for sure.

I guess I don't get the "5:30 is too early" thinking. It is actually closer to 6 by the time you actually get food.
And what time do you eat at home?
I agree it would be nice if there were no set times and everyone could go at a time that works for them, just like any restaurant at home. But I imagine that could be a logistical nightmare for the kitchen staff.

We reserved the water one for our cruise on Anthem in 2 weeks. Will report back!

No change for anything yet, but I will look tomorrow. Hoping beverage pkg goes down for Anthem in Feb. Don't think I can reprice May Canada cruise as category is sold out.

Oh thank you both. As I have said I'm very excited to sail Anthem again, we are sailing Oasis times in a row now and LOVE it but miss Anthem too.
I'm truly excited to sail in the cold winter on anthem from NJ. Have never sailed remotely close to winter or cold weather. This will be an interesting experience. Of course it means we have to pack extra. Do it should be cool/cold embarkation day and first sea day I would think on the way to Florida right? Port Canaveral?
We have always just worn jeans and a hoodie on embarkation day. We spend our sea days in the Solarium, so weather outside doesn't matter much to us. I don't mind wearing long pants and long sleeves for the first and last day. I will never mind wearing a sweatshirt on a cruise, since I'M ON A CRUISE!!!! Beats wearing work clothes!

We do a cruise every January/February. Have done Anthem from NJ, it's cool the first day, but we found CocoCay to be delightful. But we are also not afraid of the water being cooler.
Will be on Anthem in 85 days. Looking forward to getting away from the cold!

thanks for the replies so far. Is there any specific sellers you would recommend? Looking to have names on magnets and Harmony OTS on t-shirt. thank you
we have used different sellers, lots to choose from. We have always been pleased with our purchases.
We usually do magnets with our names on them. I have also bought cheap decorations at Dollar Tree and put magnets on them. I don't care so much if those get taken, though I can't say we have ever had that happen.

DH has gotten us tshirts on Etsy. We have also made our own magnets. We did valentine's and super bowl this past February.
Usually we try to do something based on where we are going or if there is a holiday.

When it is just hubby and I we go every night before dinner. Nice to meet other folks and chat. Plus we can get a drink to take to dinner.
Concierge is usually helpful, the one we had on Odyssey last year was the best!
We like the munchies, sometimes they are better than others, but a nice treat.

Anyone here do the yearly plan? With us increasing our travel we are considering a yearly plan instead of each trip. Just curious if anyone has experience with it.

That's good to hear, so lifeboat wasn't an issue.
It didn't bother us, but others may feel differently. The cabin was nice and we really don't spend too much time on the balcony so it was fine for us.

I'm sure I'm not alone but we have always taken our kids out of school for family vacations. We feel that as long as long as they maintain strong grades that family time along with different cultural experience is just as much importance as time in school. We will actually be on Oasis next August and it will be one of the first cruises we've taken in a long time that school will be out for summer break.
Up until high school we took our daughter out of school to travel. School should never get in the way of learning! She met people from all over the world, experienced different cultures and foods, learned about sea creatures and Mayan civilization. She (and we) remember all those trips fondly.
PS. She did just fine with missing school, got her undergrad in 3 years and was dean's list every semester in graduate school.

Some reviews said it was noisy from Jamie's Italian.
We did not notice any noise from Jamie's. However you could see onto our balcony from the outdoor seating at Jamie's
I would book it again, and the only reason we aren't in it this coming February is because it was already booked!

We stayed in 6258 in Feb, was one of my favorite cabins yet! I don't mind the lifeboat in the way and it was a great location.
-
Having been on both, I would choose Anthem. I like the layout, love 270, and the Solarium. We are not interested in all the stuff geared towards the younger crowd that Oasis offers. That being said, will I never sail Oasis class? No, if the price, timing and itinerary are right I will choose it. But not going to be my first choice ordinarily. JMHO,YMMV

We have the same cup as Crimson Cruiser. Not a fan, but better than the bendy straw ones
OV Panoramic Suite/Liberty- suite perks?
in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Posted
Hi all. We are booked on Liberty 5/23 for the 4 night to Halifax. We booked cabin 1852, a panoramic Oceanview. I got a Royal up email today for the following categories: panoramic suite, OV balcony, spacious OV balcony and ultra spacious OV.
I am wondering if the panoramic suite gets all the suite benefits or not. I am reading different things and want to know if it's worth trying for. There are only 2 of the suites if I am reading the deck plans correctly, and they are right next to where we are currently. So who knows if they are really even available. Since it is for 5+ people and we are only 2, I can't see if they are really even available.
Any help appreciated!
