  1. Flush with cash?? For the running 12 months ending March 2023 the net income was a loss of $1.037 billion. They have debt due within 12 months of $8.57 billion and total liabilities of $22.3 billion. They had $1.94 billion in cash and $531.1 million in receivables that were due within 12 months. So its liabilities total $28.4 billion more than the combination of its cash and short-term receivables. They aren't flush with anything other than debt.
  2. I am sure it does, my point was 8 X $16.99 doesn’t equal $231. It’s more like $14.44 per device per day
  3. That does not add up to a $231 bill
  4. You gambled You didn't do as well as you hoped You spent the time and energy to create an account and bitch about it OK
  5. What is this “unused OBC” you speak of? My wife said such a thing does not exist!!
  6. Agreed, after 3 times at the beach club (excellent experiences) we decided the last time with the economics of the pass changing, that we would just try a day at South Beach. We were very happy with the decision, PLENTY of good seating, quiet, everything we needed relatively close. Waiting for the adults only area to open and try that out, but we may be South Beach people moving forward.
  7. Exactly what I am experiencing for my Odyssey sailing in March '24
  8. Royal Caribbean has never had any issues taking my money
  9. Good advice, the Trawick plans have a CAP per policy year as well.
  10. Another vote for an annual plan, mine is through Trawick International, as @teddy mentioned, it covers us anytime we are 100 miles or more from our home address.
  11. That is what travel insurance is for
  12. I don’t disagree with you in spirit, however, once royal unloads the bags to the longshoreman, has not royal, fully satisfied their legal and contractual obligations? At this point your luggage is the responsibility of the port personnel. How can you hold company A responsible for an incident that happened on the property of Company B
  13. This is correct airline employees handle your luggage from check in to baggage claim which makes the airline liable from point to point. This is not the case with a cruiseline.
  14. BUT, just playing devil's advocate her. Full disclosure, I don't know the answer. The rules, however, for airlines and cruise lines have always been different on many many topics. With air travel, your luggage is handled by airline employees from the moment you check it in at your home airport until the minute it hits the baggage carousel at your destination airport. We do know, it is a FACT that one embarkation the cruise line is not liable for your bags when they are on the pier, they must be transferred to the ship by the Longshoreman union, and then the liability is transferred, this is indisputable. Would it not make sense in reverse? Royal transfers the bags to the Longshoreman, hence transferring liability. Royal employees are not permitted to be in the terminal or luggage claim area in any OFFICIAL capacity. (FACT) How can a cruise line be held responsible doe bag that was not in their care at the time of its disappearance? It is a very interesting delineation of responsibilities.
  15. Where does Royal's liability end? Once the bag makes it off the ship, is it not now the liability of the port? On embarkations day, your luggage is the liability of the port until it is on the ship? If your bag was found in the terminal, as you have been told, it would appear to me that you really have no recourse with Royal.
  16. There are issues between the San Juan Port Authority and the cruise lines surrounding the renovation and future development of the port facilities, until this is resolved, San Juan as an embarkation point has been greatly reduced
  17. Man, I wish we could find some Buffalo Trace around here; seeing a bottle at a liquor store is like spotting a unicorn.
  18. Book a suite; no checking out or checking in of towels.
  19. What they have onboard is dictated by the supply chain, I have seen Crown Royal more recently than I did a year or so ago.
  20. I have seen broadway shows on short sailings multiple times
  21. Mama Mia is the most popular of the Broadway shows being shown on RC; I can not imagine them eliminating it
