Love Southwest for this reason.  They make it really easy to rebook and use the travel credits without having to speak to ANYONE.   Plus you can usually buy discounted Southwest gift cards at Sams or BJs online.  And if you don't care about Rapid Rewards points and being in charge of your own booking, there's even a secret shopper program if you're willing to do the work in exchange for a 50% refund.

I'm a big price watcher.   Watching airfare and cruise fare prices are like watching the stock market...... lots of ups and downs!! 

Seasoned travelers on Southwest Airlines may already know this but like checking the cruise planner for price drops, if you are booked on Southwest Airlines check for price drops on your airfare frequently.
I've recently started flying Southwest more to cruises because of great direct flight availability from my home town and since two checked bags are free they are a natural fit for cruise airfare.
Over the past few months I've found price drops on some (not all) booked flights.  Going through the motion of "changing" my flights has yielded savings of $10 to $40 per passenger.  The credits are returned to you in the form of "Travel Funds" that you can apply to your next new booking and they are valid for 12 months.  
I've gotten into the habit of checking my flights frequently and this morning saw my exact flights for a March booking now $20 cheap per person.  Last week I saved $10.  A couple of weeks ago $37.  No change in flight numbers, times or date required.
It's important to make a note and keep the confirmation number for that credit documented somewhere which you will need when making a future new booking.  
Sure my combined savings only amount to $67 but heck that $67 I get to take off the cost of my next Southwest flight.  

I feel like I have to plan EVERYTHING, which to me is part of the fun. But this is part of being a Star, and I must get used to it (I say as I adjust my tiara.)

The drink package limit is $12 or $13 depending on the ship.  Star Class has the same limits and you usually get charged the overage plus 18% gratuity on the overage.

Well, this just happened. 
 

It seems Star Class books up early for the longer itineraries and there was only one middle GL left, which I promptly snagged. It's very early to book, but I'll just suffer the penalty if we need to change anything. 12 nights is my sweet spot, so I'd rather have this on the books than not.
 
Oh, and Batman has no clue.... I will spring this on him at a time TBD... Probably on a rare night that he switches from Coors Lite to tequila... Or maybe in December when we do the same cruise on the Bliss and he starts whining that he has to get his own drink for the shows or that we have to leave our luggage out the night before disembarkation.... 

My ratio is currently 8:1. Meaning 8 weeks of recovery for every one week of cruising. I'll try on those jeans again at the end of June.... Maybe July to be safe. 

Who says you can't have room service breakfast on the last day? 

This of course is after checking the spelling of his name no less than 8,352 times. 

People always say this, but I'm a firm believer that these are the people who never have manners and it just bleeds into their vacations as well.

I think you are missing the point of traveling in star class , one phone call to Derick and the Captain would have aligned the ship to resolve this issue, after all it was sunny somewhere so why not over your balcony ?  

Heads up. We ordered the Mac n cheese wedges from the Pub. I thought I took a Pic. I didn't. They are not wedges. They are a runny mac n cheese. They never updated the menu. Do not pay for them, but by all means try them and hate them for free. 

What's definitely better on Royal SC than Haven? We sent out pretty much our whole suitcase for pressing on the first day. You simply get to throw it on your couch, and your steward will inventory it for you and send it out. It's awesome. We got our clothes back yesterday. 
 
What's also better in SC? Our folio is still 0$.

Same experience I had on Anthem, WOW band by request only. Yet on Symphony they were waiting in the room.
It would be a nice down the road thing for a special Star Class WOW band.

Don’t let those mother-scratchers take your luggage !  You may have to fight them but keep your luggage with you until AFTER you check in with the SC greeter.  They will try and fool you by making you think they are SC porters but don’t fall for it !
