My experiance with a friends clothing bag left at terminal in Galveston. Port workers returned it to the ship and it was on board the next sailing. Luckily in his case I was on-board for a b2b and was able to retrieve it for him.

BtW each signature can be notarized separately. Just retype the form in Word with the appropriate changes, print it out. -
New Pricing Quotes Effective July 1
CruiseGus replied to WAAAYTOOO's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Yes I just saw that, 2 days before the law went into effect. Shows the power of the Restaurant Lobby. In my opinion a bad decision by law makers after they originally made a good decision. -
New Pricing Quotes Effective July 1
CruiseGus replied to WAAAYTOOO's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I belive you are wrong that it only applies to accommodations. It only allows for FULLY optional gratuities to be excluded from the advertised price. Start of Quote ""The law is simple: the price you see is the price you pay,” Attorney General Rob Bonta said on Wednesday, as his office issued long-awaited guidance about a law that applies to thousands of businesses in a wide range of sectors. When it takes effect on July 1, the law promises to upend how many restaurants operate. Their menus will be required to list comprehensive prices for each item, with all mandatory charges baked into one figure. Only entirely optional fees — like leaving a tip for staff — can be left out of the posted price."" END of quote Guess I make specialty dinner purchase on a future cruise and the go see if they'll let me remove the gratuity portion as it is "optional". Not trying to be cheap, but to prove a point. -
It is there, but I don't see much traffic yet. Would like to see it used more, but think that since the main audience of the forum is Royal the is not a huge amount of cross over YET. I hope the new match program changes that. My understanding is there used to be one, but it went away when social media apps started to be popular. If your looking for info from actual celebrity cruisers I'd also check out Cruise Critic's celebrity section. It is like this site where the info is more accurate than on FB.

Yes tell your MDR waiter if eating there that day. As suggested go to a specialty restaurant and tell the host when you check in. Also don't forget to tell your regular bartender. Having cruised on many birthdays, mine and wife's specifically that cruise for that reason, honestly we have found that you might get depends on a lot on a number of things. Your loyalty status, are you in a full suite, and last the LA, Concierge and other staff that you may know. Enjoy your birthday, I hope you have a great one.

You will meet in a designated area on the ship, when everyone else or most everyone else has debarked the ship, you will be escorted off as a group. If all goes as planned as soon as everyone in the b2b group has left the ship, you will start to board again with your new seapass card. The handing out of the new sea pass card can even very from week to week, but rest assured you will have it when you reboard. It is very very rare for CBP to come onto the ship to process you but it can happen

Midnight July 4th is at the end of the day. Midnight July 3rd is the time they want actually a few minutes after as in 00:02 am on July 4th That is if they live in the same time zone as the departure port, otherwise they have to adjust for the time zones. I know someone will say Midnight is semantics, but the way I stated it is how it is taught in the USA.

New Pricing Quotes Effective July 1

Appears Royal has only applied this to cruise fare advertising. In my cruise planner when booking lunches or UDP the advertised price does not include the mandatory gratuity. I have never heard that that gratuity is optional and can be removed. So shouldn't it be included in advertised price, since it isn't optional? -
@marwest98 in Jan 2022 we went with a private catamaran tour 10-12 people seemed the most they take at a time. Numerous stops right at the point the shallows drop off to the deep, excellent snorkeling. Woodwind Bonaire on Google will get you contact info. They do not advertise and just use word of mouth. Been in business over 10 years with excellent reputation. Easy walking distance from dock. Definitely on of the best we've done and is on our repeat list

Understanding the mandatory gratuity
CruiseGus replied to theapple477's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
And right here is the WHOLE problem, I think this should not be allowed PERIOD. -
In that lobby area but no inside CK. Just like the elevator lifts themselves can be hot.

RC building a Cozumel beach club

That would make the 7 day cruise a 2 port cruise, which is not Royal's typical paradigm -
RC building a Cozumel beach club

Even ships from Florida ports stop in Cozumel but rarely in Costa Maya. Also look at the pier at Costa Maybe, many times it has waves topping that pier and can't stop. -
UDP package and non reservation dining
CruiseGus replied to DZ_Da_Dude's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Just understand that empty tables does not equate to avaliable space. These types of restaurants must space out actual requests to the kitchen. All tables can't request at the same time. Have a reservation for opening and watch the tables fill over the next hour or so and you will understand that process better -
Sweet 16 Birthday for my twin girls

When you get on the ship go to "Picture This" Focus Gallery, the photo area while is is staffed. Hours are post at the desk which is located on deck 6, opposite side from Schooner Bar. I would also check your Cruise Planner on the web site. On my Sep Wonder sailing under "Photo" is shows a Private Photo Session for $249, 50% off the on ship price. -
You should be able to collect from your Travel insurance. Did Air2Sea not offer to fly you to one of the other ports to pick up the ship later in the itinerary?

Hati's main airport reopened on 20 May. Kenya is sending in 1000 man police force as part of an international coalition. New Prime Minister appointed along with a ruling council on 1 June. Things are looking up, JMHO but Oct seems like it might be doable for a return to Labadee. Only time will tell for sure

Zenith cost/speed vs. Pinnacle
CruiseGus replied to Pattycruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
In a way they have, by RCCL rules if SL/CK access would result in more than "x" number Pinnacle (Zeniths status matched included) only the top "X" number of points are granted access. So matched Zeniths would have less points than most not matched Pinnacles they would be excluded by that already in place policy. My understanding Celebrity does not experience the glut of Zenith, so never needed a policy like that until this new expected increase with crossover Zenith. Hope that makes sense, it seems to to me. -
Can we even begin to imagine the complaints about "how top heavy the loyalty structure is" if they allowed you to earn points no mater which line you sailed. Enough complaints now about the first 12 months back from Covid when they allowed you to book double points through Dec 2022
