  1. Have been there twice, both times prior to Covid, so maybe dated. We were very happy with this place, do not expect a refined modern facility. That said the service was phenomenal!! The massage offered was a reasonable price, and of course no beach vendors. The areas with your longers are all separated from others by screening plants so semi private. Again service, drinks, food was fantastic. Logistics You will walk outside the terminal to a roundabout the have a stand at the 1 o'clock position with you approaching the roundabout at 6 o'clock. When they have a full van taxi load they tend to send you off, short wait normally. When I ve walked by recently they may now have a van of their own that they use. You tell them when you want to leave and they arrange your return to terminal transportation, you can leave anytime you want. I'm sure they would tell its time to go to make sure you're back on time, but we've never waited that long. Hope that helps, BTW would do it again if looking for a beach experiance
  2. Could care less what others do My concern is am I comfortable a d content If you into fancy dress up, formal ware, increase your price point and book a luxury cruise line
  3. And reduce the Royal benefits to the much lower, IMHO, Celebrity benefits . Will admit we are Covid Pinnacle's Between double points and some 150% Solo cruises, we went from Moving to Diamond + in Aug 2021 to Pinnacle now, right around 2 years to make a major move.
  4. Mostly under cooked here want my Eggs Benedict poached medium
  5. You will have to see the maitre D / host at the CK check in stand. Most likely you will only be able to make one reservation at a time. Sometimes after dinner for the next night, sometime the morning of. I varies widely depending on Ship, Host and numerous of people on-board wanting to eat there that week / day.
  6. Say change Conscierge Lounge to Suite Lounge. I can see it as a future step to restrict Diamond members
  7. stop by today (9-21-2023) and they ARE open for business - they do admit social media and web site have not been updated yet
  8. I have NEVER seen a sailing where the DP340 rate code did not get me a 150% rate based on the current 200% rate (ie price for 2 people in a cabin) on the day I ch r credited rates
  9. Just an FYI for at least the last 9 months deck 12, formerly part of the Diamond Lounge is where they conduct "chefs table", No one else is allowed up there not even Pinnacle's
  10. Occasionally there are delays disembarking, and while not all people come on time, not early, enough do that it helps with crowd control. Much easier if the 11:30 folks show at eleven and are walked right on board because all went smoothly. I belive the goal is to walk you directly on as you show up.

  12. In my opinion NO, you'd have to either drink a whole lot or be willing to pay a huge surcharge for convenience. JMHO if you're even debating it yourself, you are not in the worth the cost arena.
  13. Let's be honest here. If she's Prime in the casino and booking lots of "free" cruises, she is paying one way or another. The casino is the biggest revenue producer on the ship, they are not in the business of losing money. If gambling is your entertainment budget that's fine, but it is not a free ride.
  14. Yes that is enough. To be honest no one has ever asked to see my DL to get back on the ship, just my Seapass.
  15. I do know that at least one of the cabins in that bank of 4 on each side of the Diamond lounge is very poorly designed layout and lacks storage space and is smaller than most inside cabins. I had a friend who stayed in one May 2023 and complained, the Hotel Director told them they had lots of complaints about that particular cabin. That whole bank of 4 are consequently on my DO NOT book list.
  16. Restaurant Manager trying to make their revenue quotas. This can happen and does happen, but is rarely seen anymore.
  17. OP's experience is not typical on either Allure or Radiance from experience on both all within last 8 months. I will say if you're looking for a 5 Star experience, this is not it, but then neither in my opinion is the reasonable Royals price for this restaurant.
  18. " (excludes Izumi Hibachi, Teppanyaki, Chef’s Table & Hooked Seafood)" I understand Izumi and Chef's Table being excluded. But anyone have an opinion on a valid reason for Hooked?
  19. The very reason I never order a drink in the Dining room. Most of the time I carry in from my free bottles of wine and make that glass of wine last the meal. To many problems with Dining room drinks is a reoccurring complaint
  20. Interesting comments, 12+ cruises this year and my take is it depends, I tip two dollars every drink, but find that it more depends on the individual bar tender than on the tip. Yes some hit you up, but I have cruised all week at $2 a drink at a specific bar and seen absolutely no return from my tips, no better service when crowded, no strong pours. Definatly newer bar tenders recently are more on the exact jigger than during "come back"
  21. Good Luck, had a friend misplace/forget to pick up their bag departing, actually set it down picking multiple other bags in departure hall, on Allure in late February when I was doing 2 more sailings. It took me all of 2 weeks to recover it, checking every other day with Senior Officers, but it also went back on the ship and was recovered 2nd week after their departure on day 5 of 7. All I can say is good luck.
  22. And I love the earlier dinner times, but then I'm up no later than 5 am also so you can imagine what time I go to bed. Dislike that Windjammer doesn't open till 6 PM or 6 am Spent my whole career working in the Midwest 6am to 2:30; like slot of the Midwest we work earlier and eat earlier than the coasts
  23. You can ask once on board to change to MTD if you do it the first day. You are more likely to get that change, than to try to change from MTD to early traditional. Seems post Covid the most desired dining in order is Early traditional, MyTime, Late traditional. Late traditional has always been the least desirable time, and is always open.
  24. If you have traditional dining either early or late and want a table for 2 by yourself, email [email protected] about 3 weeks before your cruise and request a solo table for 2. Ido it all the time and get a 2 top alone. I want to order, eat and go, I dislike the BS of other folks dictating my schedule, as they always want to wait for the whole table to be seated to take orders.
