  1. Thats great news! I didn't think you could but I saw a video on IG last night of a solo rider. I thought maybe it was a special circumstance for a 'promotional' video. We are on Navigator next month but my wife isn't too interested in riding it so hoping I can go solo.
  2. Does anyone know if you can ride solo on this slide or is it only double tubes? What is the combined weight limit for 2 riders?
  3. Thats great that the 30 minute limit for leaving belongings is being enforced!
  4. You went to Chops and had salmon?! That’s like going to a pizza joint for a burger
  5. I honestly don't believe that the reason or wording anyone uses on there exemption request means didly squat. They accept them until they reach 10% and then cut them off. I highly doubt there is someone at Royal's offices sifting through exemption requests saying that religious exemption request A is not as fundamentally founded as religious exemption request B. Or that this medical request exemption is more scientific than that medical exemption........
  6. You only have to load it once. Once its saved in there the only thing you have to do is enter date and port of entry.
  7. If you booked through a travel agency they would probably still have a record of it somewhere in their system if they are still in business.
  8. It will be nice to be able to get doubles again when the covid restrictions are recinded
  9. There are cruise lines that cater to this. I spoke to someone who recently went this route. It completely changed her perception of these lines. She was expecting (and this was my perception as well) a 'hoity toity' crowd but found a very down to earth crowd of relaxed cruisers enjoying less crowds and a more attentive sevice.
  10. Why do you not get the OBC? Because you didn't take one of their offered alternatives?
  11. I have that same issue. My work is very flexible but my wife needs much more notice. Kind of annoying
  12. I recently had a Navigator cruise chartered and was offered $100 OBC. If you had a B2B booked can you not move to either the week after or week before (depending which half of the B2B was chartered) to still have a B2B? They will usually price gaurantee to match your cancelled cruise.
  13. Royal has anounced an anouncement lol. There will be an Icon information reveal event in September in NYC. Royal is really playing this one up, I hope it lives up to the hype!
  14. You will have to fly to Europe then as all cruise lines sailing from US and Canadian ports still require testing. This announcement has no impact right now on cruises sailing in North America except the hope that as usual, what happens in Europe happens in North America several months later.
  15. So happy with this new trend we are seeing in Europe. Hopefully its on its way to North America
  16. If you answer yes to to any of the health questionare you will most likely be denied boarding
  17. As you titled the thread, I feel people who are expecting the full, uninterupted cruise experience should wait to cruise. I have been on 5 cruises since the 'restart' and all have had shows cancelled, activitys cancelled or limited, dining limited etc...... As a cruise lover I still felt it was worth going on the cruises even though I really missed out on entertainment. However, I can fully understand why people may not want to cruise right now with a 'limited' experience.
  18. I believe these are frustrated people looking for somewhere to vent where Royal can hear them. This forum shows up in a google search and they spew their frustration. As soon as they realize it’s a ‘fan’ forum with no link to Royal they slink away
  19. Keep in mind that even if it gets rejected on the app doesn’t mean you can’t sail. Just show up with all your ID and it will be straightened out at the terminal
  20. My wife’s was rejected because she travels under her maiden name and the vax card has married name. She literally took her hand printed vax card and added a ‘-maiden name’ to the card herself and it was accepted lol.
  21. Since we are keeping track of Covid after cruising........... Who has gotten Covid after the grocery store? The movies? The ball game? Theme park? The mall? The family reunion? We criticize the CDC and mainstream media for unfair scrutiny of the cruise ship industry and then we give them nice threads like this on a public message board to fuel the fire.
  22. We have done 5 cruises including January (when cruises were being cancelled due to omicron) where we needed negative PCR test to return to Canada and have never had a positive test. I'm curious for all those testing positive if you have symptoms or why are you testing? Just because you heard others are testing positive? I've never understood the testing of non symptomatic individuals.
  23. Not only do I cruise with a carry on, I also fit some of my wife's clothes in there that don't fit in her fullsize lol.
  24. That is very unfortunate and inconvenient for a family of 7 with young children
