There is an outlet (at least one) in the bathroom. It may be marked "for shavers only" but I know a nightlight will work there. As for leaving the door open, I wouldn't recommend it. You are still going to get some motion on the ship, even on calm days, and there is nothing more terrifying that being jolted awake because the door slammed shut at 3am! There is normally a bit of light in even the inside cabins because of the power button on the TV. Perhaps that will help?

We did that region recently. As a US citizen you do not need any visas for those ports. However, New Caledonia is serious about the medical/evacuation insurance. We had to show proof. In our case, we purchased a short-term travel insurance plan that covered medivac for I think about $65/pp. Hope that helps!

I like the smaller ships, personally. Radiance has been my favorite so far. I like the more relaxed pace, and the smaller ships tend to get into more interesting ports. That said, I’ll be on my first quantum class trip in December, so my opinion may change!

To make that schedule you will need to self carry all your bags off the ship. A taxi from the pier will take 30-45 minutes, provided there are no hiccups. Unfortunately Friday mornings can be busy at airport security with all the business travelers. Fortunately, business travelers usually understand how to get through security expeditiously. Which airline are you flying? United and Delta often leave from the South and North satellites, respectively, which makes for a much longer journey to the gate.

We regularly do specialty for lunch just because of the price point. Many of the speciality restaurants will be open at lunch at lunch at least one day of the trip. That’s one of the first things I look at when I get the compass for the next day, so I can make a reservation right away ?

That will be *very* tight. What day of the week does your cruise end on? Weekday traffic will make it even tighter. Consider taking the light rail, since travel time is more consistent than driving. When is your cruise? SeaTac has been doing a ton of construction the past year, making security lines horrible at times. Do you have TSA PreCheck? it can be done, just make sure you’re organized and focused that morning! ?
