Yes, I know this isn’t unique to cruising. I see it at work, too. It just seems extremely prevalent this week. Please don’t stop in the middle of a busy walkway, narrow hall, or stairs to discuss plans with your group. Step to the side.

We received emails and notifications on our phones when the questionnaire was available. We received them 24 hours prior to boarding. I checked the app 26 hours prior and it told me to wait and I would be notified when it was time (I’m paraphrasing…I don’t remember the exact wording).

We are currently on Freedom and have regular Surf Voom. It’s pretty slow and sending pictures is hit or miss. It’s fine for our needs, but I suspect someone depending on it to share pictures would get frustrated quickly. As twangster said, text is fine.

We boarded Freedom today and are seeing a lot of people who either are first time cruisers or sure look and act like first time cruisers. It’s nice to see the interest in cruising. This makes me feel good about the future.

We had a noon checkin time for Freedom today. Traffic wasn’t bad so we ended up at the terminal at 1150. We had time to give our bags to the porters then we were told we could go right in the terminal (after a showing vaccine card and test results). We were onboard less than 10 minutes later

Our check-in time today is noon. We plan on getting there at noon. We came from Maine. We had a plan in place so we wouldn’t show up early before we even left.

Out of all the online mock bookings I’ve done, I’ve only seen it show up a few times.

We haven’t gone on the cruise yet Our travel agent booked our Barbados cruise with the military rate and told me I would need to bring it with me to show at check-in. Also, on Royal’s website they state that proper id in the form of a DD 214 and current photo id must be presented at check-in. The link in my first reply up there goes to Royal Caribbean’s FAQ section for special pricing, which includes military.

I certainly didn’t enlist for discounts 30 years later….hell, I won’t even use veteran parking spots….but I figured I’d check it out for Royal and was surprised.

We booked our January 2022 cruise from Barbados with a military discount. I plan on showing up with a copy of my DD 214.

After showing our cards something like four or five times (in the same area) when we sailed from Nassau, I sure hope a better system comes along.

We watched the Super Bowl on Mariner in 2019. We saw it on the pool deck screen. They couldn’t call it the “Super Bowl” though. It was referred to as “The Big Game”.

Interesting info about the fountain soda taste I’ve always found it to be hit or miss everywhere, but I’ve never had it on a ship. The few times I’ve had a soda onboard, I’ve just paid right then and there and received a can. I guess at $9/day, it’s not a big risk…I like the drinks from freestyle machines at restaurants.

I did some searching but couldn't find the answer. Are the "refills at any venue" only for the souvenir cup that you get? Can you get a can of soda from the Solarium Bar/Pool Bar or is it fountain only? Thanks
