@JLMoran in the beginning of all of this, when word started leaking out, and I was following a number of leaked reports out of China, it became evident to a number of medical & geneticist professional personnel, in these areas, their strong suspension, this is an engineered virus...especially when it was revealed the virus had a HIV protein enzyme attachment to it; which is not natural causing. One reason I personally wrestle with the official reporting versus the leaked reporting I was following. The HIV attachment, from my understanding, is what makes it more difficult to tackle or treat the ailment, vs a regular respiratory infection. Hence now, it's clear, the reason it was suggested to the President, to have FDA investigate & fast track the use of Chloroquine as a weapon against this virus, because of the HIV component. Remember, Chloroquine has been used effectively against "autoimmune disorders"...apparently, as well as, use of Remdesivir, an anti-viral...which together makes sense. Many of the leaked reports states one of the geneticist working on the virus, had an unreported accident, fearful of repercussion, violated proper containment protocols, left the facility, and infected not only some fellow coworkers; but, patrons at the wet markets, that is said to be "ground zero". Apparently facility officials knew of the seriousness the situation, reported it to local officials & military personnel; and, they quickly started rounding up persons in contact with this genetic researcher. It was sometime later, local police & military started quarantine segments of communities within a certain zone, long before the call to quarantine the whole city & neighboring cities. Word apparently didn't get out to after many Chinese citizen start to realize something more dramatically serious was happening around them, after witnessing huge number of people collapsing & dying around them...many in the middle of the street; against what state run media and local officials was telling them. Started recording scenes & reporting on media sites what was visually happening & leaking out the information to the rest of the world. If it wasn't for the good doctor, that credited, as being the 1st credible profession to come out & expose what was happening, it may have been a number of days later, if not weeks, before the world discovered what has happened in China. So FDA Commish Hahn seriously need to fast track use of these medicines in conjunction with what ever treatments that is being provided now; and, quickly get a grasp of this pandemic. I'm sure other government are aware of the potential success of these drugs; and, may already be ahead of the curve, in using them, and can easily report/share their findings on the use of these drugs.

@JLMoran this article on the use of Chloroquine you provided in your post, confirms all the information I've been researching, on why the potential of the drug come highly recommended. The FDA Commish Hahn appear, imho, to be shorting Trump's suggestion the FDA looking into the use of this drug, in both the CNBC & Washington Post articles, for some apparent reason; and, hiding behind needing trials, when the drug is not only widely known(use since 1940); but, has been used effectively in treating SARS, a coronavirus cousin of Covid-19, as well as against malaria & autoimmune disorders. The drug is already in generic form with little to no history of "Side Effects"...so it boggles the mind why commissioner Hahn, appear to be resisting on reporting of its potential use, in this battle...the dosage is not difficult to determine. The drug "Remdesivir" is another potential drug, an anti-viral, that's already in current use in China, in combatting Covid-19. Apparently, it's being reported that there's a real possibility that a malaria vaccine will work on the Covid19 Virus.

Ridiculous Royal does not offer the FCC to the card holder...don't see how that's legal. However, if you are referring to the 3/15/20 Anthem cruise, you should be eligible for 100% refund, on your mom & aunt cabin.

I suspect you may be right, if not a few weeks later...mid May maybe. My biggest concern is the amount of real, true, accurate information from China; be it official info from the State or leaks. If you follow the CDC numbers, there is a dramatic decrease in new cases appearing in China & their fatalities rate has taken a dive...certainly promising. People in general really need to take & bare some responsibility, if there's any real chance of "quickly" overcoming this circumstance, and preventing any chance of dragging this out longer than necessary & risking possible encroachment of civil liberties, because of the behavior of some # of people. What has happened in China & Italy is a prime example, if people give reason to...and things apparently has not gotten better in Italy, regardless of draconian measures. Just saying... I know the makeup of the U.S. was alot different from just 25yrs ago, when we were more resilient. Maybe not as much these days; but, this certainly could be a resiliency test of our day...things I feel will very soon get better, even if things briefly become worse. I sense a bit of normalcy & pending cruise may be just around the corner....

Yeah...I get that...no one can give an answer of certainty. Again I suspect at the "Latest" Royal will "like" to have her amp before going to Galveston & the new facility that will be built there...just my guess. However, I suspect they will amped her as soon as possible, when that opportunity, undoubtedly, present itself. They have done it before; I anticipate they will do it again, even after all this mess, short of a global depression.

Ashley was correcting me on a provision that I was unaware of...be it after a deposit is made & FCC is then fully applied to fare, the deposit will then be shifted to pay remaining taxes/port fee....if that's not confusing, LoL.

I think you misinterpreted my post...that the first thing I noted, deposit applied 1st before FCC is applied.

My understanding, your deposit($100) will be applied to your fare, 1st of all...bring your remaining balance to $366(subtotal). Your $400 FCC(which only apply to the fare) will cover that; so, you now acquire a $34 surplus, to be used towards either an upgrade to this booking or a 2nd cruise booking. Taxes & Port Fee are paid out of pocket(originally refunded back to whatever means of payment, not included in the FCC).

Yeah, I for one, get what you are saying...essentially you paying more cost, out of pocket, to do something you are already scheduled to do, because of price hike, in conjunction with the FCC...which in terms, is a net loss. Very unfortunate occurence.

Well @accio7 I know you was just reacting to my post; but, consider this as well. According to the World Health Organization, 56 million people die each year(health, disease, murder, accident, old age, war, suicide, etc), which is an average of about 153,424 people each day...which is close to the total number of people said to be infected with Covid19.

Interesting Note: Base on an estimated World Population of 7.5 Billion people. .002% of the world population is infected with Covid19 .00008% has died from it.

I get it...your thoughts & all; however, I just have two major reasons why I completely disagree...I simply prefer not to create an ideology/political debate & bog down the blog, because someone may become more than overly enthusiastic about a view or opinion, speaking in general...hot bed issues these days, even with those on similar side of the spectrum.

Hmmm...it's my understanding those cruisers, outside of the company 30-day self-imposed cancellations, only get the FCC; and, any refund granted, will fall under the "Normal Cancellation Policy", that is subject to penalties...am I correct on that?

I don't think the "30 days" was meant to be literally exactly....sorta like if it's 12:57pm, you naturally convey, it's 1 o'clock or if you paid $49.11, you naturally would say you paid $49. I suspect, that's where the confusion stems; therefore, just look at the resume operation date they give, as your barometer.

Not trying to start a political debate...we all have different pov; however; I feel compelled to say, companies should not be bailed out...that's a poor practice that not only have created a monster & has assimilated itself into culture; but also, has created huge fiscal & corporate, and quite frankly, natural imbalances, so ingrained, that it has created huge, powerful monopolies, that control every aspect of the commoners life....true Capitalism is dead...died a long time ago...I sorely miss it.
