  1. A man, a woman, a collar, and leash walking into the candy store.
  2. But the problem here is we don't have control over the actions of other people which affect our own risk. People are acting like this is an individual choice that does not affect anyone but themselves, and that simply is a false statement. We are facing a conflict of rights situation, and in the past the solution was a fairly straightforward examination of what would be best for the public in general. That is why it is "We, the people" not "I, the individual." However, that is clearly not the type of analysis going on right now. To be honest, I cannot figure out what, if any, type of rational, logical analysis of our current situation is being done. Rationality, logic and reason have been replaced with fear, paranoia and emotions. Social benefit has to move over for rugged individualism. Both have their place, but it's pretty much impossible to satisfy both at the same time. I am confident that we will work ourselves out of this mess and calm down at some point. I just don't really know how or when.
  3. Exactly. But I still think the one on Tide Pods should read "Keep out of reach of anyone stupid enough to do things they see on Facebook."
  4. None taken, I understand. It's just hat that case has been misused for so many years without people knowing the actual facts.
  5. It seems like things like this should be automated by the RCCL system to become available at a preset time. However, like many other things in the RCCL IT world, it may have to be manually done and therefore could be more random than it should.
  6. I think the facts are very simple. However they made their reservations, it was their responsibility to know what the boarding requirements were, especially in the current situation. The fact is they thought they knew, but they were wrong. It doesn't necessarily mean they are bad or stupid people. It is the same reason that you didn't check your pocket for the tickets that you left at home. You didn't check because you KNEW they were in your pocket, however you were wrong. If you had not been sure they were in your pocket, you would have checked. The real issues is that this shouldn't be news, and in no way should RCCL be blamed. However, if they sought out the press to publicize their mistake and/or tried to blame RCCL, then I think it is possible to infer things about their personality based on that.
  7. Please don't use that example. The facts of that case are actually quite different than most people believe. It was more than hot coffee. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liebeck_v._McDonald's_Restaurants
  8. The reward has an expiration date (November 12 right now) and must be used within 30 days of the original reservation. There are also limits on combining it with some other offers. For example I cannot use it on a cruise I booked with a MyVegas reward. As with all rules though, your mileage may vary, but it has gotten much better since there is a specific MyVegas team within the Casino Royale team to work with the rewards.
  9. I have a feeling that they are the ones with 6 kids, so the Adults buy the Full drink package and their kids, their kids friends and a couple of aunts, uncles and grandparents use the Freestyle cups and just pour it into other cups. Wow, I am even more judgmental than I thought.
  10. You pretty much have to check the rewards everyday. You can also join a group called MyVegas Friends https://www.facebook.com/groups/OriginalMyVegasFriends and follow the rewards refresh post. This is the second group of cruises I have seen post COVID. I've gotten 1 out of Galveston in December and one of the 3 day out of LA. There does not appear to be any pattern, so who knows when they will add more. I believe they may be planning to revive their rewards from Carnival and NCL at some point in the future, but I could be wrong.
  11. Should have just said all but x(however many) of the crew members were vaccinated if they couldn't actually do the math.
  12. When Royal gets things right, they really get them right, but clearly when they get them wrong, they get them really wrong. I know my sympathy isn't much, but for whatever it's worth, you have it.
  13. Or they will have a lounge for unvaccinated people and then a lizard lounge. Or no jab, no cab(in).
  14. Yes, but the CDC CSO is still in force in Texas, unless the Judge has issued another order since last time I checked. The order I saw allowed Texas to intervene, but did not extend the TRO (or stay, whichever it is) to Texas. The Florida law is now not applicable to NCL, but it is to all other cruise lines, and it is subject to change at any moment (as we learned with the CSO). My point is that all of these legal maneuverings, in my option, will muddy the waters (see, keeping it on a cruise theme), possibly reducing the public's faith in the rules of the cruise companies. Personally, I am willing to go and follow whatever the rules are and I expect them to be ever changing at this point. I just don't know if I represent the cruising public.
  15. So now we have different rules for different cruise lines and for different ports. Is public confusion ever good for an industry?
  16. You should see the fits people are throwing over at the place where people like to criticize cruising. It's actually pretty funny. You can almost see them stomping their feet and holding their breath.
  17. Well, it's Britain, it's like a siesta in Spain. They're real.
  18. Aw, come on Matt, the 2 COVID jokes were both pretty good. I know mine wasn't serious. But then again just because I thought it was funny doesn't necessarily mean it was.
  19. I really do love RCCL, but they really are not handling this situation very well. I've had issues with them before where two different teams gave two totally different answers to the same question. I understand they are proud of their team structure, but they need to get all their teams on the same team.
