We've had a couple of dry days, and the plumber came back out to add some more equipment to the pad. Hopefully the electrician makes it out today or tomorrow because we have more rain in the forecast on Friday and again on Tuesday.
In the meantime, I may have booked a 2BR Aquatheater on Allure.  781 days to Star Class!

We have new electric panels by the pool equipment. They grounded the heck out of everything, and the backyard is torn up still showing the exposed conduit and copper grounding wire. I think an inspection happens before it all gets covered up.
Not a fun picture necessarily, but here it is.

It's been an... interesting... 3 days since the sutures came out. Wednesday it was sore but very manageable with a combination of Tylenol and Advil. Yesterday... well, let's just say I'm surprised that I was able to get through the work day. Even with the combination of OTC meds, it was throbbing and stabbing me almost the whole day and through the night.
Then I got up this morning and it was basically done with that. Bit sore when I first got up and put weight on it, but by the time I was done with my morning routine it was pretty much fine. Some throbbing here and there, but nothing that doesn't go away just by shifting my leg to another spot on the cushion it's propped up on. And the secondary stuff that comes with an open, healing wound is also easing up a lot. Redness is going away, feels like it's firming up again.
I think at least part of it may be all those remaining self-dissolving sutures that are still in there. I've got a bunch of clear thread poking out of me, and I'm thinking it was getting caught in the gauze or something yesterday and pulling on the wound in ways it didn't like. Not really sure since I didn't do anything different today, but it feels so much better. Still can't keep the foot down on the floor for more than a little bit, but I'm taking what I can get. Hopefully the corner is turned and I'll be healed up enough for the second surgery to happen around the 15th, maybe the 22nd if it's not visibly better until closer to the end of next week.

+1 on this one!  It's been way too long.  Thank you @LogicallyLazy, I think we all needed this more than we knew.  At least I did.

Thanks so much for this live blog!
While the @Lovetocruise2002 jokes were a nice perk, I really enjoyed seeing a real cruise live blog happen again and I appreciate the insight into what's happening onboard!

Haha the thing to know with my dad is he always uses vague language. Like “it’s okay” and “not bad”, but never “great” or “fantastic”. But it did seem like he enjoyed himself so I take it he liked it.

Bye Quantum, till we meet again

Prior to disembarkation, they were calling out tag numbers to disembark at allocated times. You’d normally get your tag number the night before, but if you’re in star class, your genie will escort you off whenever you are ready. Last disembarkation time was 9.45am

Disembarkation was smooth. I was expecting that we were going to do an Antigen Rapid Test at the cruise centre but it seems it has been scrapped. We could leave as soon as we went through immigration.

And that’s it. The end of my first cruise, first star class and first live blog all rolled into one. Hope you enjoyed following me along on this journey and maybe gave you a little bit of insight into some of the changes that may be happening when cruises restart until the end of this pandemic.

This live blog is amazing, but I feel like a jilted high school lover who can't help but look at photos of their beloved and remember the good times, and then burst into tears

I walked through once and it was really crowded. Felt a little out of place to be taking pictures so I walked through with my 360 camera. The photos are screenshots from that. Sorry, it was the best I could do.
For the slots, there are machines not in used for social distancing, but I see people in the same groups next to them with no issue. Tables seem full and it looks like on lookers have to stand some distance away from the table.

Okay time to catch up on our first day while I have some time.

    Activities
First off, we went for the bumper cars. As Star class guest, Eli brought us to the front of the line in a designated area for star guests. Before that, we also helped reserve the slots we wanted to seaplex activities like foosball, Table Tennis and pickleball. According to Eli, there is no basketball due to physical distancing.
After that, we decided to explore the top deck a little since we were already there. Walking around the outside to snap some shots before taking a break at the Solarium. Pina Colada anyone?

Finally, we headed for our flight on the North Star. Let me just preface that I’m absolutely terrified of heights, but figured that I won’t be able to pass this up, so I put on a brave face and ascended to the skies.

I’ll be covering dinner in a following post

Good Morning everyone. Another lovely day out at sea and there nothing quite like seeing this outside your room
Starting off the day with a little R&R in the thermal suite
The thermal suite pass is around $20 pppd but you do not need to get it for everyday of the sailing. However, you will be required to book a reservation. That said, the thermal suite will be private to you and your party which is kind of sweet

    Stateroom
So we’re staying in the Owner’s Loft 8720. Just walking through the ‘gated’ area makes me feel so fancy. Lol.

I think it goes without saying that the room is gorgeous. It’s definitely the biggest room that I have stayed in, even on land.
A little snack left by Eli

Together with the standard information given like voom internet and our star class itinerary, they also provide 1 mask per guest as well as a bottle of hand sanitizer.

    It is indeed. 😀

Phew, a long day. Time to catch up. Let’s rewind back a few hours

    Coastal Kitchen Lunch

Tapping our seapass to get into CK, we were brought to our window side table with a view. To be on the water, even when in port, it’s giving me the feeling of being free

For our appetisers, we went for the cilantro fish soup and oven baked scallops. Both were delicious, though the fish soup was definitely the more memorable of the two.

For our entree, as arranged by Eli, they managed to prepare the filet mignon for us specially. While it was definitely good, I think I may have hyped it a little bit too much in my head. We’ll see how the filet at Chops compares.
For desert, we end it off with the Royal cheesecake, dark chocolate cookie and creme brûlée. The cheesecake was decent, but I think the cookie and creme brûlée left more of an impression. Though it was a little too sweet for our usual tastes, I loved the cookie, though it was more like a thick fudgy brownie, than a cookie.

By the end of the meal, we were stuffed. Our initial plan of getting some stuff from Windjammer was put aside.
