  1. What ship and sailing, because the prices differ. I could post mine from one cruise, but it's not the same as my other two cruises, and may not be the same as your sailing.
  2. They will not charge you for the water. We haven't had any trouble with getting what we need delivered to the room. While it may not be there immediately (turn around time is short and stateroom attendants have much to do), it always was before bedtime. If it's not there, and you see your stateroom attendant (which is highly likely), kindly ask about it. They will have it to you asap! Enjoy your sailing!
  3. You can do either. I go with the cheapest for me and my husband (which is typically the 2 device plan under my name only). Basically with that you will have the ability to log in 2 devices at the same time, and it doesn't matter what devices they are (if you gave your log in information to the guy in the cabin across the hall, he could use it, for example). We have the 2 device plan and we have 4 devices, minimum, but will only log into 2 at a time. I hope that makes sense.
  4. "Formal nights" are a hot mess on Royal Caribbean. It's all a matter of interpretation. You'll see shorts to tuxes. You do whatever makes you happiest.
  5. Enjoy the scenery in Alaska. Even on the ships that are not as old as Serenade the internet is basically useless for most things after the first day unless docked at an American port and you just stream off your cell data.
  6. Pretty much anywhere. Windjammer, specialty restaurants, if open. Bars will be open. Lounges and other public spaces. Pool deck. Solarium.
  7. There is one on the left side of the bed.
  8. It's available for the 6/16/23 RCB Group Cruise sailing on Navigator.
  9. Welcome! From Royal's website: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy
  10. The rules are few: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/onboard-luggage-policy
  11. Whenever someone who was on a Symphony sailing sends them to Matt to post.
  12. I suspect there may be a RCB Group Cruise associated with one of the early sailings of Icon. I'll be waiting on that.
  13. If you watch any YouTube videos from people sailing on other lines, the stories are the same. Staff shortages are everywhere and are not unique to Royal Caribbean.
  14. :::::::::::::::: erasing and going back underground ::::::::::::::::::
  15. Internet on Alaskan cruises are terrible to begin with, the farther north you are the worse it gets. But why don't you test in your room the morning that you disembark? It only takes about 20 minutes. Then you can just use cell service and not worry about it. If you insist on doing it the day before (and I don't see why you wouldn't just do it the morning of your flight), then I wouldn't rely on regular surf. But I really wouldn't rely on Voom of any kind on an Alaskan cruise, especially the older ships.
  16. Loft Suites are Star Class, so they will include the service of a Genie, the DBP, UDP, gratuities, and Voom. If you bid within your comfort level I can see no cons. Keep in mind that there may not actually be any rooms available, and you will be bidding for two people (so if you bid $1000, for example, you will pay $2000 for the upgrade).
  17. You should contact your travel agent (or Royal Caribbean, if you booked through them). Personally, I'd just leave it as is and cash out the remaining OBC in the casino.
  18. You will be able to make them once on board (using the app is the easiest). If you are in a suite, the Suite Concierge can assist you.
  19. There are no implications or benefits for reaching a higher rank ,other than it just lets others know that you spend far too much time on the blog and type way too much (Hello, me). The "rank" (i.e. gold, platnum, emerald, etc) rise strictly on the number of posts. I believe reputation has to do with the number of your posts that are "liked" or to which there is a reaction (balanced by how many warnings you get, which are extremely rare). As far as a page that actually states this, I haven't seen one.
  20. The crew's shore leave has been suspended on Ovation due to covid cases, so this may have a lot to do with what's going on (not that they can't leave, but that they are quarantined again).
  21. I can't imagine the drama of putting two couples into a Jeep and then having to have them decide who is going to drive. I, personally, would not want to ride in a vehicle with some other random, unvetted person, driving. I would be surprised if they did that, but you could call the company and ask. The number is on the door of the Jeep in the photo in the Cruise Planner (907)945-3141.
