Yes they do, and on many things the prices are pretty good. I just never buy any because the complications of getting it home in my luggage on a flight are overwhelming.

School me about Celebrity cruises?
SpeedNoodles replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Celebrity & SilverSea
I'm going to move this over to the other section, but my advice is especially if you are booking with a line with which you are unfamiliar, book through a travel agent who is familiar with the line. They will really be able to sort some of the confusion out for you. -
Help.....I want to fire my TA & switch my booking to RCCL
SpeedNoodles replied to Gallaleuci's topic in Other travel
You can only change agents if your booking was made 30 days or less ago. You're probably stuck this go around. If your questions aren't directly related to your specific booking, though, hit us up here! There's usually someone who can answer some of those questions. If you did make it within the last 30 days then it can be moved if the current agent is willing to let it go. -
@RobsGr8 - Welcome, and I'm glad you're so excited about your upcoming cruise! Many of these questions are answered in the other sections of the message board, so I encourage you to take a little time to look around. For general questions not directly related to this exact sailing, I encourage you to post your questions in the corresponding sections of the message boards so that more people will see them. Odyssey is a fantastic ship, and my favorite in the Quantum class of ships. You made a great choice! You may eat as many times at complimentary venues as you like. Here's a great place to start for information about the drink package. Because it varies from ship to ship and sailing to sailing, what it costs on one sailing may have no indication of what it costs on another sailing. Keep checking the Cruise Planner as you get closer to your sailing and it will show up. Expect to pay between $75-95 per person, per day. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=royal+caribbean+blog+drink+package

I always put closed containers in my backpack. They never check those when getting off of the ship.
-
Interesting, as you can't even walk off the ship with a cup of coffee. You have to drink it or throw it out before getting off of the ship.

Many of us use the agents at M.E.I. You can fill out the big yellow form on the home page of this website and one will get in contact with you. They are very familiar with cruising and do not charge any fees. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/

Try the Roll Call section of these forums

They won't reprice them like they do every other cruise? Or is it already after final payment?

Bed placement on ovation of the seas
SpeedNoodles replied to Kdwilly's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Check photos on cruisedeckplans.com. You can usually figure out where the bed will be based on photos of nearby cabins. -
They don't, but this is a fabulous hotel and our absolute favorite in Seattle. Just grab an Uber or Lyft to the port.

Most excursions that I've been interested in I could find reviews for on YouTube. You can usually book the same excursions from a 3rd-party vendor for less money. You just lose the "guarantee" that the ship will leave without you. Still, most reputable companies will do everything they can to get you back on time.

Add Parents to my family dining time from anytime
SpeedNoodles replied to Bones4AU's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Call your Travel Agent or Royal Caribbean (if you booked directly). If they have different reservation numbers they will need to link your reservations. It's also possible that Traditional Dining is full, or they may not be able to seat 10 people (I'm really not sure on this one - maybe, I don't hang around large groups of people so I've never noticed). -
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR BOARDING CRUISE
SpeedNoodles replied to Ash1993's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I'd definitely bring it all. -
Wouldn't it be easier to bring Lactaid (capsules or chewables) for Kids?

Navigator of the seas aft balconies

I loved my aft balcony on Navigator! -
Why should we switch to a travel agent
SpeedNoodles replied to none20244's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It was! -
You can call whoever you booked the cruise through (either your travel agent or Royal Caribbean directly) and change to a Promenade stateroom. You will pay the current fare to change room categories. Otherwise you will get whatever they get you with the GTY.

We've had various experiences at the Dog House. On Ovation in 2019, they were simply inedible. On Symphony and Allure they were quite good (for hot dogs - Mr. SpeedNoodles loves them - I can take them or leave them). I suspect it has a lot to do with whatever local vendor they secure to supply them.

The first time we were in St. John's we walked around town and found some wonderful, small, art galleries. The market is fantastic. The people are friendly. These days you may have to grab a ride into the downtown area, since the ship doesn't dock in the same place that it did in 2004, where we basically walked off the ship into downtown. Still, I'd do it again. Last time we were in St John's (2022) we took an excursion that took us by bus to the charming village of S. Andrews. It was a wildlife/whale-watching trip. We saw tons of wildlife, including whales and Harbor Porpoises (which are about 3 feet long and freaking adorable). We had lunch at Char & Chowder. It was fantastic. I highly recommend this excursion. If one is just going to tool around Halifax on foot (I recommend the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic) and a bite of lunch at The Bicycle Thief (which is charming with the friendliest staff).

New MDR embarkation day lunch?
SpeedNoodles replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
I'm in. Lunch in the MDR on embarkation day was one of the very, very, few things that I liked about NCL. And I dislike the Windjammer, so I'm usually having to pay for lunch at Chops or eating very little until dinner. -
5pm is basically lunch for me, lol.

It takes longer to get there, for one thing, so it usually requires either originating in Puerto Rico or extending the sailing out of Florida to 8 days.
