We are going to try for CK for the 1st time on this upcoming cruise. We never did it before as it was the old MDR menus, and we were fine with them. Now with the new menus and with a 3 night speciality dining pkg we are hoping to use CK this time.

Ok in my expert medical opinion the easiest and most convenient way to do this without feeling like missing out on things is to do the following. If you are going to use the elevator only do it if you are going more than 2 decks, otherwise use the stairs. If you are going to the bow or aft, use the elevator on the opposite end. So if you are in the middle of the ship and you want to go to the bow, walk to the aft elevators and vise versa. Walk the running track 2-3 times after dinner or if you have a show then after the show. Drink at least 1 glass of water before each meal. This will keep you hydrated and help to make you feel full without overeating. Always make sure you have at least one serving of raw or steamed vegetables at each meal. Real easy to do... I eat whatever I want, drink whatever I want and never miss desert and I lose 2-3 lbs on every cruise.

I have never had an issue with MTD. I make my reservations as soon as they open in the cruise planner. When we get to the 1st night we ask the hostess to make sure we get the same table and wait staff every night. Only on our last cruise was the wait staff slow and that was the 1 and only night we asked them to be speedy as we had a show to get to. They were not and I mentioned it to the head waiter and the rest of the cruise they were spot on. If you don't speak up and say something right when things happen, then it wont get any better and they wont know they are doing anything you don't want.

Yup ...same here the following week Dec 14. But i only saved $1200.

True but with a min bid of $1-3k per person that would be way more than a drink pkg, and that was only going up to Sky Class. Star was min $5K per person... nope, nada no thank you. My total cost for this up coming 8 day in a JS is $3800 and that is with gratuities and insurance included.

I would think about Royal uping if extra points and maybe a drink pkg would come with it, otherwise it is really not worth the extra cost.

As long as the kids/ 20-30 somethings are well behaved then I don't mind them. Same with the adults... come on people we are on vacation it is not the purge.

Yes book it now!! That is what I did when I heard that my Freedom Dec 2024 cruise would be in drydock. It took them 4 months to finally cancel and make us offers. The pricing on 2 other cruises I booked went up several hundred dollars in just that 4 months. I got my alt cruise price matched and cancelled the other. I made refundable bookings so I got my deposits back in less than 10 days. If you are able to take your original date great if not then you have the back up but at todays pricing. And If you end up taking both well then kudos to you!!

I would not wait if you really want to go... My Dec sailing it is sold out.
