I usually book online and then monitor for price adjustments. We did Nextcruise for our 2020 sailing that got canceled, but I was still able to monitor the price after booking and get adjustments when the price went down.

I have the same test scheduled for the same day. They should accept them. If they don't, do they offer tests done at the port?

For any of the games, really. I was on Anthem in 2019 and participated in Name That Tune. I thought it was going to be some little trivia game in one of the bars, but it was a big production on the thater stage with singers and dancers. I ended up winning and received RC gear: a thin, flimsy backpack (we used it a couple of times before it ripped at the seams and we had to throw it out), highlighter, pen, luggage zipper pulls, and plastic water bottle. Even something like $25 in onboard credit or towards a future cruise would have been much more preferable.

I can totally understand that. We snagged the drinks package on Oasis when it was $66. I definitely drink more than my husband, but my justification is that if we want a bloody mary or bellini with breakfast, or want something while we're at the pool, it's nice to be able to just order it without being billed. I drink coffee throughout the day and my husband likes his daily smoothies. I don't drink them (trying to stay low-sugar), but I can order one for my kids as well. We drink a lot of water and plan on bringing our reusable water bottles, but if we don't have them with us or are going ashore, it's great to be able to get a couple of bottles of water. I'd like to think that between the non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, we'll be getting our money's worth as well as the convenience.

Why wouldn't you want reef safe sunscreen? Better for your skin as well as for the environment. Most mineral sunscreens are biodegradable and reef safe. I love Bare Republic mineral sunscreen sprays. They don't leave a white film like some mineral sunscreens do. You can buy it at Target or Amazon.

We are booked on Oasis in May and signed up for this excursion. Has anyone done this one? Is it a catamaran or a different type of boat?

I paid in full more than 30 days before the balance was due and received an email for another invoice at the 30 day mark. I called RC and it turns out that through a glitch, it kicked off my daughter's FCC so it was saying that I had a balance due. They extended my final payment due date and reapplied the FCC, saying it would take a few days for the FCC to go through. I'm really glad I paid before the final payment was due because if I had waited until 30 days, it may have cancelled my cruise because from their point f view, I hadn't paid the final amount.

Has anyone here cruised during Halloween with their kids? Curious to know if there are any special activities or if there's trick-or-treating onboard. I haven't booked anything and most likely won't, but I am entertaining the thought.

Can you sign up on the app or do you have to actually go to Adventure Ocean?

We have done two cruises on RC with our kids. AO is fun for them, and we had them in for parts of each day, but we didn't have them go every single session. I would say that we had a nice balance of doing many activities with our kids and also having some time without them.

Not Oasis class, but my husband really liked the Honey, Honey drink they served in the Music Hall on Anthem.

I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, but my booster isn't listed on my vaccine card. It's my understanding that RC needs a physical card, and I'm assuming the booster needs t obe on there as well. Can I just add it myself with the date, lot #, etc, or do I need to go to CVS and ask them to fill it out?

Is it a Kids Sail Free cruise? Not all dates and ships are KSF; when you choose a cruise, it will let you know if it's included in the KSF sale. For example, 5-day to Bermuda on August 27th on the Adventure is a KSF sale, but if you choose a different date for the same cruise, it's not KSF.

I literally booked a KSF cruise yesterday and repriced it today. It was $200 less today; I called and they gave me the lower price without any issue. They are supposed to honor it if the price is lowered, as long as it's before you make your final payment.

Total brain fart when I responded. Yes, you are right. I've called and gotten the lower price instead of canceling, but made sure I had the lower price documented just in case their pricing was different.

So what I've done in the past is not sign in and price the same cruise to see if the KSF deal is applicable for that specific cruise. If your cruise is eligible, make sure you have the lower price documented (I screenshot it), and then you can either cancel and rebook online or call and rebook.

The Freestyle machines dispensed water even if you didn't have the special cups. It's very possible they've reconfigured it so that you need the special cups for even water now.

Are they allowing that? Our last cruise was pre-COVID and they stopped allowing people to use the freestyle machines for water if they didn't have a soda package.
