  1. On all of our cruises this year, I ordered items off the vegan menu almost every night in the MDR. Between the "regular" menu and the vegan menu, I could put together a very satisfying meal. I have never seen anything labeled as vegan in Windjammer (they DO label gluten free and NSA items) but I'm pretty sure I could put together a decent vegan lunch most days.
  2. We had sippy cups last week on Explorer. And they were out of Dasani flavored waters all week.
  3. This week on Freedom, early seating was 6:00. Any tables that were still empty at 6:15 started being filled with MTD folks.
  4. On our two cruises so far this year, the time(s) of the main shows have been different from one night to the next. You cannot plan in advance for a specific show time.
  5. Without the Powerade and Vitamin Water, the package would not be worthwhile for us.
  6. When you first use the cup, the Freestyle machine tells you that the cup is active until X date. Royal is up front about the fact that the cup will continue to work. I wouldn't describe it as stealing (unless you believe that using information a business tells you about their product is stealing). We've never tried the one ship to another and don't plan to cancel the soda packages we bought for the second cruise of our upcoming side to side to find out whether it works or not.
  7. There was also a table on the Promenade on Ovation where the cups could be picked up on boarding day.
  8. The chips on the cups make them work for up to 14 days from the first use (longer if the cruise is longer than 14 nights.. On B2Bs that add up to 14 days or less, you can purchase the soda package for the first cruise and it will work the entire time.
  9. Seattle did nothing to enforce boarding times (thus not even entering the building until well past our arrival time), security only had 4 of the potential 10 scanners open (delaying things even worse than the norm for people not having a clue about emptying their pockets despite being told every couple of minutes for the entire time they were weaving through the rat maze), and the check-in agent couldn't operate the technology to process all of our documents that were uploaded AND in hand (she had to be at least 75 years old).
  10. Even that wasn't true in Seattle in May. It took us more than 15 minutes once we reached the check-in person - with everything already loaded and passports in hand.
  11. That's rich! Guess they don't count the time it takes to get from the curb to your initial interaction with a check in agent. On Ovation in May, THAT was only 40 minutes having arrived 10 minutes early for the FIRST assigned check in time. Obviously it got worse as the day went on. They haven't even achieved 15 minutes from starting to work with a check in agent to ship in many cases.
  12. Never said it was $12500 out of pocket. The point is it would take a LONG time to cycle through that much slot play.
  13. So someone who plays only slots would need $12500 worth of play to achieve Prime.
  14. Given the proximity of the two places and @Moby Dick's previous comment about the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood being confused with being in Fort Lauderdale, I'm going to guess that the pictured beach location is also in Hollywood.
  15. I'm fairly sure that the best price guarantee has always been within 48 hours of the original booking. It guarantees that if you find a better price SOMEWHERE else and you have booked directly with Royal (on your own or through a TA), Royal will match that price. Finding a better price through another party after that 48 hours is not guaranteed to be honored. Repricing through Royal is an entirely different process and is not held to any particular timeframe (other than it being more difficult once final payment has been executed). The premise that the OP's TA has been unable to reprice an August cruise booked in May would imply that there has been difficulty with repricing AFTER final payment has been made, which (if true) would be unsurprising.
  16. The four use any time for whatever you want drink vouchers per day is worth far more than the limited-selection happy hour drinks ever were.
  17. Sounds like your TA should be checking this for you, then.
  18. Old folks may still know it as Mt. McKinley.
  19. Don't know this one, but I'd be interested in going. Anywhere that has a statue with ducks has to be a nice place to visit.
  20. That is also the standard for US bookings. We looked at the information when a group of friends were considering a cruise together. We didn't have enough people interested to get to the 8 staterooms minimum so we didn't pursue it further. The one person worth of fare for free spread across 16 or more people helps everybody. On a booking that the most common stateroom costs $800 per person, that would be $50 each. If you're looking at the cost per person, that wouldn't meet your $100 threshold. If you're looking at the total savings across the group, it would. And $50 off per person will buy close to four drinks each (for example).
  21. It is indeed a sculpture in the Chihuly Glass Museum (not out in the gardens, though).
