We were told the same thing, only the comedy show would be pre scheduled. Everything else was “wait until you board”. The SC’s on Harmony were very nice but i found them very difficult to contact unless I wanted to trek up to the lounge, could never get them from my room phone using the numbers they provided. I let them know we would be celebrating my daughters birthday on night 1 at CK, not looking for a huge deal but a candle in her dessert? A “happy birthday” from the waitstaff? Nope, nothing. I tried to make alternate arrangements for the Izumi Sushi prepaid dinner as brother & nephew didn’t make the cruise, subbing me for one of them & said I would just forgo the cost of the third guest. Couldn’t get an answer if this was ok. “I’ve emailed the restaurants manager. I don’t know what he’ll do” Then, when my son got sick, they could not reschedule the meal. Again, they were very nice but certainly not the fairy godmothers I expected.

There was separate shampoo and conditioner in our OS on Harmony last month as pictured above.

Is it a CDC card or some other proof?

We were in St Thomas on March 18th also so I guess YMMV.

Last time I sailed in a regular cabin (Mariner 2/2020, it was some 3 in 1 product. So they expect you to wash and condition your hair with same stuff you wash your body with . Glad I had taken the small bottles from our precruise hotel. We had the M&G in our Harmony suite, very nice I thought.

Many of the shops in St Thomas also required masks so it’s more than just coming & going in the port area. We did witness a passenger being denied reentry in St Thomas because he didn’t have a mask. Said no one stopped him when he got off the ship but security was adamant. He was pretty irate but they wouldn’t budge. He had to go buy one because they would not let him through. As a PP said, take one just to be safe.

As suggested earlier, I did carry masks for everyone just in case. I know we needed them in St Thomas.

Says common sense. If I go to Disney at Xmas, it’s gonna be busy. If I go to a beach in the summer, it’s gonna be busy. If you go to a water park during spring break ….,

you can’t purchase a cruise 2 weeks prior to sailing and expect to get popular excursions. It’s spring break, the ship will be loaded with kids. Of course the water park is sold out.

Not gonna lie, took me 3 days to mostly get oriented on Harmony. She is one BIG girl!!

Wow we were in OS 10640 and experienced none of your issues. The pole was never in the way. I barely remember it being there. The only time our doorbell rang was when room service arrived. Never heard any noise from upstairs, next door, anywhere. I would kill for that balcony again. It was absolute heaven! For me, the only negative was the size of the shower. Although it was not the dreaded space tube, it was pretty darn small and the floor in front of it was always soaked. The floor mat was a useless joke. But I would stay in an OS again in a heartbeat if I could get the ridiculous deal we had again!

We found the shopping area downtown to be a big waste of taxi $ unless you want jewelry. The shops at the port have the same things for the same prices. If we ever go there again, it will definitely be a taxi to a beach.

Ours was not on Harmony last month. We had to go to the Pub to pick them up.

Hard to determine distances on a map. Can you walk from the cruise port to Mambo Beach Blvd beach & shopping area?

I made MTD for everyone for every night. Then adjusted on board as necessary.

Table next to us on Harmony ordered every dessert on the menu, took a few bites of each & left the rest. Wasteful IMHO

Good suggestion from AshleyDillo. Use the Royal form as a template & draft your own “permission slip” omitting where is shows your signature being notarized. The notarization proves the parents who are NOT present at boarding actually signed the document. You ARE present so don’t see why a notary has to attest that you did too.

I though a minor for the purposes of that form was 12 or under? I would try reaching out through Facebook/Twitter (if you don’t have an account I guarantee your granddaughter does!) to @michaelbayley & get a definitive answer. Phone reps don’t know squat.

Appreciate all opinions!! So are taxis readily available near the port?

Guess I was lucky, my kids didn’t care. Come to think of it, my brother & I were the same way. Growing up we lived in a 2 bedroom apartment so we shared a room. After he went off to college, we moved into my grandmothers house with a room for each of us. When he came home for a visit, he still slept on the other twin bed in my room. I don’t think it occurred to either of us to do otherwise. We always listened to music & talked half the night. Couldn’t do that in separate rooms

Ok so maybe we walk/shop in Aruba. So now Bonaire or Curaçao for beaches?
