  1. You can do it everything for both of you on your app.
  2. And yet if you go to a seafood restaurant in Maine, you’ll pay $28+ for that lobster.
  3. Ok, sad to admit I caved. On Explorer last month, we loved the Solarium area. I’m an early riser & would run up about 7:30, grab chairs & some coffee. Back down to the room to grab hubby & we’d have breakfast in WJ. In the chairs by 8:30ish for the rest of the day. When I’d go up at 7:30 about half the chairs were taken. I tried to justify it by telling myself we actually used the chairs all day.
  4. IMO, Explorer needs seriously expanded bar areas. I know harmony spoiled me but these bars are TINY and the chairs are uncomfortable. Maybe that’s to ensure you don’t stay long?!?!
  5. Thanks, maybe we will just get reservations for the same time and split up once there.
  6. Have only heard speculation about a switch to cold water Maine lobster tails and a charge for additional ones of those. Nothing about any other charges and the lobster is still not confirmed.
  7. So glad for you! Have a wonderful time
  8. Thanks Raye. Are you & Dan sailing soon?
  9. On a similar topic, if half our group wants Hibachi and half want sushi, can we reserve & sit together? Or are the 2 areas separate?
  10. Those tails are awful. Always have been, always will until they stop serving warm water tails. FWIW, hubby & I had what we thought were the best crab cakes we’ve ever had on Explorer last month. And, with only 2 cruises this year to go by, we have NEVER stood in any line for our MTD reservation. We have always been waved to the inner check in desk and are seated within 5 minutes. Don’t know why my experience has been so different
  11. Many of you will remember my brother’s missed cruise in March. At the time, he had emailed Michael Bayley’s office for assistance with his issue. He got a reply that nothing could be done about the 10% he was losing but to contact them again when the replacement cruise was booked. I really didn’t expect anything but he sent a follow up last week. To my total surprise, all 7 of us were given $100 in OBC in addition to goodies in each (3) room. Considering he got exactly what he was entitled to in the 90% FCC, I thought this was VERY generous of Royal. Now I’m trying to talk him into the 3 night dining package!
  12. Met a lovely 3 generation family from the UK on our last cruise. The 2 little boys, maybe 6 & 8, wore white dinner jackets. Two little James Bond’s sooo cute!
  13. Can’t imagine this would be as beneficial as consulting professionals on land.
  14. If you look through RCCL FAQ page, they provide a form that one could use. I had my grandson’s mother (my son is bio dad) fill it out & get it notarized when he cruised with us. We also got him a passport. We had to show the letter at check in. This was Mariner in 2020.
  15. Solarium Bistro was not open on our March sailing. It is now? We are back on Harmony in May but I don’t see it listed in the app.
  16. No need to see configurations. All beds separate. Just tell the stateroom attendant what you want.
  17. Never had to show ID at a port. Seapass card only.
  18. Lots of TV access on Harmony, just about every bar has some. It was ridiculous on Explorer during WS. One small bar with people crammed in everywhere.
  19. Guessing it would be much cheaper to book this all yourself. Google hotels with shuttles from the airport (most major chains have them) then local shuttle services.
  20. You must put down a deposit at booking. Final payment is due 90 days prior to sailing. No payments are due in between.
  21. And since we were staying the night after we disembarked, SAS brought us to the hotel instead of the airport. Very nice company.
