Now that my brother and nephew are joining us, my daughters car will no longer be enough to get us from airport to hotel to ship and back. The original plan was to fly into Orlando, stay overnight there & drive to Tampa the next day leaving her car at Parking Doctors. Now I think it would be better to fly to Tampa & spend the night there. So I need suggestions for a hotel, hopefully one that has either an airport or a cruise/park shuttle option (both would be amazing). Any ideas ??

My sentiments exactly. There was a time I was too type A to let someone else handle things for me. As I’ve gotten older, just don’t enjoy the work involved anymore. I don’t have the time or energy to make weekly calls to RCCL. So happy to have someone do it for me. So now I’m maybe type B+ ?

Can you explain “deck 17”? Our suite is on deck 10. Is there a secret handshake to access deck 17???

Got an OS on Harmony 3/22 for $5800 including trip insurance plus $200 in OBC by lifting & shifting my 3/21 Rhapsody sailing. That will be for 4 people. IMHO a very affordable deal!

Emily was able to move our 7 day Rhapsody March 2021 to a 7 day on Harmony for March 2022 with no up charge?. Still feel like this is too good to be true but I am shaking I’m so excited. Ok tell me about Harmony and Sky Class suites!!!

Except for the night they had a late pool party, we heard no noise. And we could only hear that on the balcony not in the room.

We did Majesty Western Caribbean out of Tampa a couple of years ago in a Grand Suite. There are very few suite perks other than dedicated boarding & departure assistance and double C&A points. No concierge or suite lounge, no breakfast area, reserved pool area or reserved show seating. We had a wonderful time but this is a small older shop with few activities or entertainment options. Our goal was to relax and enjoy a few adult beverages both poolside and on our balcony. Majesty was just fine for that.

Ok that’s crazy!! That would be Harmony for barely half price. Looks like time to talk to the TA and the family again.

So the answer is yes, HARMONY OS for the price of the Rhapsody OS? If I did this, I could conceivably rebook the cruise I have now and kick in Harmony for next year for dirt cheap.

And Harmony has a western Caribbean itinerary during that time frame. Ports are a little different and port of origin is different but still a 7 day western Caribbean. I guess my question is the OS on Harmony is at least twice as expensive as the one we have booked on rhapsody. If I moved to that cruise, would I get the Harmony OS for what I paid for the Rhapsody OS. Seems too good to be true.

So most of you know we are booked on a 7 day western Caribbean on Rhapsody in an OS in March, 2021. I am trying to understand L & S as it applies to that sailing. If I L & S, I can book ANY 7 day sailing in 2022 within 4 weeks of my original sailing (so 2/20/22 through 4/20/22) as long as length and stateroom class remain the same? Does this mean I could change to a 7 day WC out of PC on Harmony in an OS for the same price I am currently paying for the Rhapsody cruise? Doesn’t sound right. Can you all enlighten me ?

Emily at MEI was able to move our February trip to the identical cruise & room in March. The move saved us $710 ( my total is now a cool $1100 in savings) AND today she was able to get us $200 in OBC. What a miracle worker ?.

Or maybe rethink a run in 90+ degree weather!!

Yup we loved it. One night, I got served THREE dinners!! Ran out of the stuffed sole I ordered so they brought me a fried fish I only picked at (really wanted that sole). The waiter saw I wasn’t eating so he snuck over to a company meeting & brought me a plate of their special buffet items. In the meantime the maitre’d talked to the chef who made 2 stuffed sole filets just for me. There I sat with all three plates in front of me with the 2 of them standing at the table to be sure I had enough to eat. Thought I was gonna die!!!

On our first cruise in 2002, dinner in Windjammer was served. Appetizers and desserts were on a buffet but you ordered your entree from and were served by a waiter.

Ok, probably totally insane here, but I take every opportunity to bring kids/grandkids on our trips. Hubby is kind of quiet and something of a stick in the mud (but a lovable one!) so taking the family helps keep things lively. And I love spoiling them. 2018 took our daughter, February took one of our grandsons, next cruise in March (moved from Feb) taking son and daughter. Growing up my parents never left us home. If they went on vacation, my brother and I went too. So now if hubby and I are going someplace fun, I want to bring family too!

Just for haha’s, I looked at what the same cruise I have booked would cost if I put it off for a month (March instead of February). When I look in the old site which is bookmarked on my phone, the price is $400 less than if I access the new site on my computer. Any clue why this would be?? Anyone else experience this? Got an email out to my TA.

My grandson has informed me that he no longer wants to go to Disney, just cruises?
