On Wonder last week I had the chicken parm on whatever night they served it....can't recall.  I thought it was ok.  Not great, but waaay better than some of the other things I tried from the MDR on that cruise.  Oh wait....now I recall.  I got chicken parm on lobster night b/c I wanted both !  They brought my lobster tail to me as an app and then brought my chicken parm when they brought Dan's main course.  I thought that was a good solution.

The arancini seem to have gotten better, I had them on Grandeur early this year and they were the size of baseballs and drrrryyyy. The chicken parm is usually too much. The pasta and sauce are bland, but the chicken is usually juicy and seasoned but nothing is a wow.
I ate in the MDR each night on freedom in Aril and the food was hot and pretty good. But I never left satisfied, like satisfied in the sense that all my tastebuds were jumping. So I understand what you mean.

    Just WOW.
It's been a while, and I'd forgotten how detailed and awesome your blogs are!!!  BRAVO to you and your family.
I just spent over an hour reading this and that was from page 2 (I had started back then but was overwhelmed, and then that pesky Idalia decided to drop by).
I have been watching your excursions on IG, but this is so much more fun.  Matt mentioned tonight to check out your tête-à-tête with the waiter/head chef in WJ and it was worth it.  I kinda wish you had been more vocal - they need to know.
Thank you so much for taking such time to share with us.
    Safe travels home tomorrow!

After lunch, we made our way to the Maritime Museum. My main objective here was to visit the Titanic exhibit. There was a family pass here for $24 (2 adults and 2 kids). Overall good value. We spent about 2 hours here.

After the tour ended we walked along the Halifax Waterfront towards the Maritime Museum. This is a really nice area with restaurants, coffee shops, and lots of photo op areas. We got lunch here. It was once again, delicious!

This morning we took a 1/2 day tour to Peggy’s Cove through Royal. It was called “Halifax Highlights & Peggy’s Cove”. The tour itself was not bad, but our guide was pretty awful. It sounded like she read off a sheet the entire time.
For those who are headed to Peggy’s Cove, it was pretty chilly and windy there so be warned.

Yes, we have been completely blessed this trip with good weather. Even days when the weather did not look good, it turned around.

Pretty uneventful day today, but much needed after a few busy port days. Before dinner, Hubby and I spent some time having drinks in the suite lounge. The ship has picked up a lot more motion as the day has gone on. The fog never lifted and that fog horn is still going. Over dinner in the MDR, we could see the waves and the white caps. No white bags in the hallway but for the girls and I, we can definitely feel it. Everyone has been taking Gravol (Canadian version of Dramamine) today.
It was Royal Night in the MDR tonight. Food was decent. Probably the best meal so far, but still no wow.

Chicken and waffles. There are things I must eat separately but this is not one of them. Though I do not eat them from the MDR, twice my chicken was raw, so I no longer order it.
It also cracks me up when people who do water stuff, won't do it in the rain. But I am glad you came back rich from the casino.

Definitely! No complaints here! I love to chill in the room on sea days anyway. This just makes it more cozy.

I too hope @Neesa and anyone else who is dealing with these weather shenanigans are okay💜💜.
I find the taste of Caribbean menu to be all over the place. Last time I tried the pork chop and while it was spicy and flavorful and hot, everything else was not. Also, I had the tiniest, hard shrimp as my app. The peach dessert is both a triumph and a letdown.

My personal favourite today was probably the Sea Caves at St Martins. I had very low expectations for here. These nature things are not really my scene. But when I stepped out on that rocky beach and took it all in, something about it was just breathtaking and mesmerizing to me. I really wish we had a bit more time there.

Back to the high tide, low tide thing. It was truly a sight to see today. Back in Grade 4, so I would have been 9 years old, I learned about this concept through a research project that I had to do on one province in Canada. I was assigned New Brunswick and that was one of the things my Dad and I read and researched. Back then we were using encyclopedias 😊 Anyway, to see it live in action today, both the changing of the  tides and the reversing rapids was such a treat! A few more pics that Hubby put together to show the changes.
When we left the port around 10am look at where the “Royal Caribbean” sign on the ship is in comparison to the ground or fence. Then, look at the second pic and see where it is when we came back after 4:30pm.

Another before and after of the rapids:

I'd rather be there right now! Lol! Drama on steroids here in Pasco County Florida. We are just north of Tampa and inland, we have ancient Indian burial grounds protecting us once again.  A huge thanks to every PM I received today about this storm, it warmed my heart. What an amazing group of people here.

The tour dropped is off back at the Marco Polo Cruise Terminal. We took some time to walk around at a container store village right at the port. Ended the day off with a Canadian favourite…Beaver Tails 😋

The last stop of the tour was going back to see the reversing rapids and the change over the day. We first came here around 10:30am and then came back at 4:30pm.
Pics again don’t do this this justice and I will post video clips on IG later after dinner.

    Here is before:

When we arrived at the sea caves, we passed a boat. When we left, we passed the same boat. This gives you an idea of how fast the tide changes. All within a little over an hour.

They basically gave us one hour to eat and explore the caves. Not much time so we rushed D15 to eat quickly and then we took as many photos as we could. Let me tell you, photos and videos do not do this place justice. It’s just beautiful there. I could have put up a lawn chair and sat there for hours just staring. I tried to soak it up the best I could in a small amount of time. Video clips on IG.

When we got to the sea caves, they fed us lunch first. I actually did not know that this was included when I booked the tour. Everyone had a choice between a bowl of chowder (lobster, scallops, haddock) & biscuits, minestrone soup & biscuits, chicken fingers & fries, or a salad. A can of pop or bottle of water was also included. I included the menu for those who just eat there without a tour.
