We did the dolphin swim there. It was awesome. About 30 minutes learning about the dolphins in waste/chest deep water. Then a 45 minute swim with them.

We went to Rose Hall a few years ago for the day. It was OK. The drive was 30-40 minutes on a bus with several other Royal cruisers. Food and drink was all inclusive. To me Jamaica was just depressing. The people we met were very nice. I just could not help feeling sad for the people that lived there.

They don't get your address. Just you passport number. In my case I used my passport card which has a different number than your passport. Refund goes back to your credit card. For me it was worth the risk because the refund was several thousand dollars back. A few hundred and I would have said screw it.

Just an FYI. I bought a very nice watch in Cozumel from Ultra Jewels and was told about a VAT (tax) refund from a service called Tax Free (www.taxfree.com.mx). They said I would have my refund in 40-45 days. Well this is pure BS if you search the internet. I did finally get my refund but it was 6 months later. I did not buy the watch with the hopes of getting the refund. Getting the refund would just be icing on the cake. I saved 28% from retail. Which was still a lot cheaper than if I bought it here in the states from a grey market dealer used. To get the refund they need your passport, your receipt, and a copy of your cruise itinerary. So, if you are planing on making a purchase like that you might make sure you have email access to your cruise itinerary. Luckily I got RC to email it to them once I got back on to the ship.

We got ours from Bed bath, and beyond too. We had to ask for them and they brought a box full out from the back. They did come in handy.

It was very expensive in Cozumel. For 4 drinks and quesadillas is was over $80.00. It was fun but ouch for two peoples lunch.

US dollars will work everywhere you are going. Have lot of small bills because a lot will tell you they don't have change. Especially cab drivers.

I got the same letter on the Liberty a few weeks ago. You either give them your sea pass card to swipe or your room number. Saturday even after 8pm we could pick up our flash drive with all the pictures. You can review your pic when the photo shop is open on the ship. We have two random pics from another couple on ours. They said they were going to remove them but never did.

From what I have read up on the travel insurance, you have to have sustained damage. Which we are blessed and have not. I just though RCCL might have a little more compassion or understanding.

We are schedule to go on the liberty on the 3rd and we live in Houston area. It is a mess here. Good luck to those flying in the day before. I doubt you will find a hotel. Good luck. Galveston did flood on Monday. The cruise terminal area did see a lot of water. I have not heard if cars were flooded or not. I have a friend that has been stuck on one the RCC ships for almost two weeks now. We did not get flooded but it came up very close to the house and were stuck trapped in our neighborhood for a few days. Air boat and helicopter rescues were being performed at the neighborhood just behind us. I have called RCC and asked what are people with flooded home to do or those that can't travel in because roads and airport are closed. They just said we plan on sailing as usual. They have not been very helpful or compassionate. I have already missed several days at work and now I am going on "vacation" while friends have lost EVERYTHING. It makes a person feel like shit. For those traveling in. I-45 is open and you can get to Galveston. Galveston is now dry. The airports are opening. Rental cars, uber, taxis, and buses might be sketchy. My wife and I have a cruise planned for early September 2017. She has been having off and on knee problems for years. She really needs a need replacement but want to wait till after she is the big 5 0 next year. She is able to get around most days while wearing her knee brace. Well, yesterday she is getting shooting pain and the doctor is telling her she might not be able to wait much longer. I purchased the insurance from RCCL when paying for are cruise. Does this cover something like this if she can't go because of surgery?

Because you have 4 million plus people 30 minutes away and that is just Houston. It will still cost me $100 to park down there for the week unless I want to be that friend and ask for a ride.

Maybe you could find someone that could meet them at the airport or cruise terminal and hand it to them there. Just a thought.

Our phones get turned off and soon as we get on the ship. They go in the safe and do not come out until it is time to leave. Then they explode with email. We bring a cheap 2 prong extension cord and our small fan. Only need one extra outlet for the camera charger.

My passport and DL all have my middle name spelled out. I could see an issue if just the letter (initial) was there. Airlines are the same way. It just sucks because the RC crew is trying to be friendly when they see your name and try to call you by it. I just stand there like who is that??? I could see the whole nickname thing but this is not a nickname. I was just cursed by using my middle name. 1st world problems, I know...

Why won't they let you use your middle name??? I have NEVER gone by my first name. All my legal documents ALWAYS have my first and middle. Only sales people, charities, or scammers call me by my first name. I can't even recall my parents calling me by my first and middle name with they were mad. I have called RC, I have gone to the customer service desk, and I have emailed them. They all just say let me look into this and will get back to me. Only one ever did get back with me and they said, why don't you just change your name. Really????

What is a good time to show up down there? I know a few years ago we got down there around 10am. Traffic was fine but had to stand outside for about an hour.

Are these tours worth the money? The Freedom of the Seas wants $89.00 a head.
