  1. I have a photo from Navigator and Freedom. Would that be helpful?
  2. You are not wrong, but speaking in generalizations, booking early tends to net a better deal on a more consistent basis. No question there are still last minute deals, but I would never recommend relying on that, especially if there is a particular sailing or stateroom category you are interested in.
  3. Sorry to hear of your disappointment. I suggest taking these issues to Guest Services onboard and essentially give them a talk. Not necessarily about the individual issues, but at the bigger picture and that you are not satisfied.
  4. It sounds like a glitch more than anything. I'd either call or check back later. It is bound to be there because you are well in advance of your cruise.
  5. To be fair, I get Starbucks from Cafe Promenade on other ships as well. I'm an equal opportunity Starbucks drinker!
  6. Welcome, Rich! Glad to have you on now two group cruise sailings!
  7. Welcome Marcy!
  8. This post is about Freedom, but there should be some carryover to Liberty: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/08/03/top-10-freedom-of-the-seas-hidden-secrets
  9. Wow, great price
  10. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I so wish I was onboard too
  11. Having stayed solo in a virtual balcony on Quantum, I can say it is a great experience!
  12. Thanks for the feedback on your cruise. Glad to hear you had a great time!
  13. The best practice is when you get on the ship, put your phone into airplane mode. That disables the cellular signal. Also, when you say you turned it off, did you actually power it off completely? With phones these days, it's confusing when they are actually powered off and when they are just in standby mode.
  14. When it comes to hotels, I usually look at TripAdvisor first as a way of seeing reviews and paying careful attention to the user-submitted photos.
  15. As the tree said to the lumberjack, I'm stumped
  16. Maybe my brain is not functioning quite yet, but can you explain a little more what you did? I'm having trouble following what you did and what you expect to see.
  17. Thanks for sharing! I think it is a great example of why we preach the booking early mantra
  18. Agreed! It's going to be a blast and I want as many of my friends from here as possible to join us for it
  19. Both of these definitely!
  20. This is fun and scary that you all know me so well. I'm honored!
  21. I would also point out that Anthem of the Seas offers a ton for "adults" to do. It's not like she is going to be relegated to sitting by the pool for the whole cruise (although that isn't a bad way to spend a vacation). There are tons of activities and Royal Caribbean builds its ships with entertainment and activities in mind. In short, there will be no shortage of things to do onboard.
  22. Yes you can (and should). With larger parties in MTD, you absolutely should make reservations in advance. More helpful info on MTD: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/06/04/what-you-need-know-about-royal-caribbeans-my-time-dining There are so many great specialty restaurants. If you are gunning for kid-free, 150 Central Park is the place for you. I also absolutely love Izumi (try the Hibachi), Sabor and Chops Grille. Giovanni's Table is also really good. In terms of dining, it is important to make reservations as soon as you know when you want to eat on special days like formal nights or holidays. For entertainment, book it as soon as you can as this tends to go much quicker. I love the food in the MDR. When it comes to food, it is such a subjective issue. What one person loves, someone else hates. Doesn't really mean anything other than we all have different tastes. Don't sweat the reviews. Personally, I eat in MDR for a majority of my dinners and never regret it. Specialty dining is fantastic on Oasis-class ships, so you can't go wrong but please don't skip the MDR based on what some other people have said (including me).
  23. That is generally the case. In terms of check-in, Platinum and above get priority, but once it comes time for boarding, Gold members typically get included in the priority over non-C&A guests.
  24. Now that I could do! Granted, I'd need to wait for another repo back, but that's just a minor detail, right?
