  1. Welcome to the boards, Bev!

You will have plenty of time to do both. Schedule the zip line early and then maybe the coaster after lunch. The zip line takes perhaps an hour at the most, including all the prep time.
  3. Not sure what they are doing that is causing the delayed boarding. My advice is to arrive earlier, than later. Closer to 2pm than 5pm, regardless of which deck you are on.
  4. I have 2 children and I agree, two rooms is better than 1 big room. If nothing else, you get separation from your children and an extra bathroom. If sailing on Allure of the Seas, I really like connecting Central Park balcony staterooms: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2014/07/19/everything-about-royal-caribbeans-central-park-view-balcony-staterooms
  5. Being the father of a 5 year old, I can tell you that Penguins of Madagascar was on the better end of awful movies. I generally enjoy the Madagascar-brand films. Monsters vs Aliens, Ice Age 3 (or beyond) and some of the more obscure DreamWorks films have been known to make me question my existence.
  6. Definitely still there. Check the Cruise Compass for what it is, or ask any bartender.
  7. Like food, the sensation of movement seems to be subjective. Half the conversations between me and my wife on a cruise are "can you feel the ship moving?". To answer your question, I don't think any ship has "a lot of motion" under normal circumstances. I certainly would not avoid booking a cruise on Empress because of that fear.
  8. I know exactly what you mean! The lava flow Gods come everyone sooner or later
  9. I have not, but I read the description and it looks nice. As a taxi driver in St. Thomas once told me, all the beaches in St. Thomas are nice
  10. Thanks, I might have been dreaming that $20 figure.
  11. The suggestions by Billy and Rick are very good options. One more option if you prefer not to buy any kind of internet plan is text messaging. Even while roaming, text messaging is fairly cheap. Most incoming messages are free and sending messages is somewhere between 25 cents and a dollar.
  12. That's a great question, because many that are new have that concern. I wrote a blog post on the topic here: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/06/15/why-first-time-cruisers-should-use-royal-caribbean-travel-agent First and foremost, travel agents are paid by Royal Caribbean a commission based on how much you spend. A TA's services (should) cost you nothing extra. The best reason to use a TA is for the level of a service a good TA will provide. They should be well-versed in what RC offers and can help you pick out the best cruise vacation. And they don't just work with you when you are booking, but throughout the process, including when you get on the ship. Questions, adjustments and concerns arise all the time, and a good TA is there to help. In terms of prices, a TA has the same prices at booking with RC directly. In some cases, a TA may have better prices if they have access to group space onboard. But rest assured, it should cost you nothing extra to use them. RC builds into their business commissions to whomeever books their cruises. The cruise line industry relies on this as a means of filling their ships, and they need TAs to keep their business going. So again, it's RC that pays the TA, and not you.
  13. Here is a blog post about luggage tags: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2014/12/21/royal-caribbean-luggage-tags-everything-you-need-know
  14. Just book one and it is good for two people.
  15. So glad to see you got to see Enchantment!
  16. Login to your cruise and go to https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/cruiseplanner/orderHistory You should see anything you've ordered there.
  17. New menus have been spotted on Oasis: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/07/07/spotted-new-main-dining-room-menu-royal-caribbeans-oasis-of-the-seas
  18. It's the Royal Theater. I saw Penguins of Madagascar on Quantum of the Seas in 3D and it was in the Royal Theater. Radiance class ships actually have a dedicated movie theater.
  19. If your cruise is after Adventure gets her refurbishment, I would pick Adventure too. The upgrades are quite impressive.
