  1. The channel that shows the view from the bridge (channel 14, I believe) has music playing. If memory serves me correctly, there is also a channel near the end of the lineup that is a music video channel.
  2. Online or onboard. If you take enough photos, it can be worth it. It's probably a better value if you have a larger group with you so can get more pictures.
  3. Here's a look at Rita's Crab Shack: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/07/23/photo-tour-of-ritas-crab-shack-royal-caribbeans-radiance-of-the-seas
  4. That is exactly what drove me, and many others, to RC.
  5. Take advantage of the perks offered by being in a GS. My favorites are priority embarkation/disembarkation, complimentary drinks each evening in Concierge Lounge, and main dining room food room service.
  6. Welcome! There many folks here who used to cruise Disney and now cruise RC, so you are in good company. Here are a couple of helpful blog posts I think you will enjoy: Comparing Royal Caribbean to Disney Cruise Line 5 ways Royal Caribbean is different than Disney Cruise Line Royal Caribbean vs Disney Cruise Line podcast episode
  7. That kind of makes sense, but then that means it's on an express trip to wherever the people hit the buttons inside the elevator. However, we know the elevator will stop along the way for other people who hit the button on the deck.
  8. According to the falls' website, it's $20 for adults and $12 for kids: http://www.dunnsriverfallsja.com/
  9. Keep checking your reservation on Royal Caribbean's website. You will not be notified, but magically one day it will change. Right now it should should show your waitlist on there, but eventually it will change once you are let in. Here's an overview: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/10/12/what-do-if-your-royal-caribbean-dining-preference-not-available
  10. It reminds me a lot of cars. In General Motors, you have Chevrolet (RC), Buick (Celebrity) and Cadillac (Azamara). It's not to say one is superior or inferior than the other, they just offer a different experience.
  11. While we're pontificating on the virtues of elevators, I will say RC's elevator "logic" baffles my mind. The classic example is there is an elevator one floor away, but the "system" decides to send an elevator 10 floors away to pick you up.
  12. Wow, very interesting. I get the whole ecosystem thing, but perhaps I'm just ignorant of the impact a slice of pizza or box of cereal will have on the environment.
  13. Ideally you should get tickets. Makes your life easier/simpler. There will be seats for people that walk-in, but you will have to wait for everyone with tickets to go in first, and then be allowed in.
  14. I think if enough people get it started, it can certainly go. My advice is "lead by example" and hopefully others will join in too! :)
  15. Bungalows are great. Keep in mind that lunch delivery thing might have been a test and/or just on Anthem. But you will have a great time eitherway. I would welcome that sort of a change, but that's primarily because I am not the world's biggest BBQ fan.
  16. First, if you prefer traditional dining, call now and ask to be put on a waiting list. They have always come through for me (except once, and then I went to MDR on embarkation day and they made the change for me). Second, yes, there will be some inventory onboard. I'd recommend making reservations on embarkation day. In addition, if you go to dinner at off-peak times (before 6pm, after 7pm), you will find much lower crowds.
  17. RC has proven they can make bigger and bigger ships and make money on them. I think for the RC brand, bigger is the direction. Sister company Azamara and Celebrity seem to pick up the small ship slack, so to speak.
  18. Shove them in a backpack, and you should be fine. Officially you are not supposed to bring food off the ship, but I really cannot imagine why.
  19. On non-Oasis or Quantum class ships, arriving 15 minutes early is more than enough time.
  20. I certainly encourage folks to share photos of the room. It might be easier if people started a new thread for each cabin to make it easier to reference later, rather than "on page 38, you can find those photos"
  21. Not that I am aware of, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
  22. Billy is right, it's something rarely available these days. I certainly would not bet on it.
