  1. Unfortunately, you cannot. Local laws forbid that sort of practice in general. In fact, travel agents get their hand slapped for selling out of their country/region unless there is a good reason (like a group cruise).
  2. Yes you can. There's a walkway that leads to the bridge that leads downtown. Easy and enjoyable walk.
  3. Reservations just make your life easier. I'd say they are a really good idea for formal nights, holidays, or a special occasion that you do not want to be locked out of. In general, if it's some random night that doesn't fall in those categories, I've had very good luck with walk up reservations. I think in all my cruising, I've been told "Sorry, we're totally full" perhaps two or three times.

    Edit

    Looking forward to following along!
  5. Agreed. When you buy the dining package, you are trading advanced planning for saving money. If you are flexible, it can work out quite well in your favor.
  6. Having been to Curacao, I'd go back and just explore downtown. It's an easy walk and there was a lot to see there.
  7. I like it both ways. The new MDR menu on Anthem did a good job at blending traditional dishes with some new options. The MDR will never be haute cuisine. Places like 150 CP, Wonderland or Chef's Table take up that mantle. That being said, I feel like the new menu offers more than just steak, chicken and a pasta. Applebees, it is not.
  8. Likely not. In my experience, they have never recorded how many you bring on. That being said, can't promise anything and having to throw away bottles would be pretty awful.
  9. Yes, Cafe @ 270 and Cafe Promenade will be open
  10. Ah, I see what you're referring to. The issue is a room for 1-2 passengers may not fit 3-4 passengers, so when you add a third passenger, you have to book a larger room. That's why the price jump
  11. If you don't want to feel rushed, do 2:50pm. 11am is doable, but I think you will have some pep in your step.
  12. Serenade is a great ship. The most important thing to know is that it lacks some of the "latest and greatest" features found on a ship like Anthem. That's not to say you cannot have a wonderful cruise on her.
  13. Looking at this Cruise Compass from April 2017, it appears the muster drill time for Liberty of the Seas is at 3:15pm. Muster drills do NOT last 2 hours. 30 minutes, max.
  14. Interesting question. I seem to recall in the couple days after your cruise there is a time in which there is a delay. Have you asked your credit card company for a credit line extension?
  15. I like wearing a suit, but I completely understand why someone like @DocLC would opt not to because of the travel considerations. One hack to get around this is to wear your suit on the airplane. Less to pack and you look great compared to everyone else on the flight!
  16. I'd probably ask for that to be switched. It should not matter at all, but just makes me feel better to have it the other way around.
  17. One thread, with updates in the replies.
  18. According to http://www.resortforaday.com/British-Colonial-Hilton-Day-pass-p/nsnabcha.htm
  19. You cannot go wrong with either. Flip a coin, book one, and then book the other itinerary when you get onboard!
  20. I went there in March. The food and drinks is fairly expensive, so that $40 will get you 1 entree and 1-2 drinks before you go over (give or take). The issue for you is the timing. If you look closely, the day pass guests can start arriving at the Hilton at 9am. So that means you lose out on 1.5 hours of port time. The good news is the resort is SUPER close to the port, so maybe a 10 min walk back.
  21. Not surprised to hear that Honey Stung Chicken was not in the WJ on embarkation day. It's been near-extinct for a number of years.
