Ahh, ok. Sorry!

I think that's a fair representation, based on our visit.

That's not part of today's reveal. Different event.

Most excursions take up enough time that two in one day through RC is not feasible. Also, start times often overlap. In short, I wouldn't consider that option.

From what I'm told, should happen around 1pm eastern. Subject to change.

In my experience, suites are all a splurge. It's certainly nice to have Sky Class, but I think a large amount of the value you get from Sky Class depends on you and how you cruise. As an example, I plan so much of my cruise in my advance that I rarely take advantage of the Concierge service provided. Likewise, I spend very little time in the suites lounge because I have kids and the whole suite lounge "scene" isn't really my idea of fun. When we stayed Sky Class on Harmony of the Seas, it was a last second sale and we decided to go for it. But in general, we don't always seek out Sky Class as our default choice. Like so many things in life, it all comes down to price.

I'll borrow a story from @AnnetteJackson... She had clients sailing on Christmas and they split up in the morning, wit the mom taking the kids to breakfast while dad went to the tree on the ship and had some things there. He stood with them while Mom took the kids to see the tree on the way to breakfast where they found their Santa gifts.

First time on Royal Carribean - Questions
Matt replied to Tampaite's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It depends. Sometimes RC is better, sometimes on your own is better. There are advantages and disadvantages to both options. I'd at least explore both possibilities. At least two easily reachable. I recommend a small outlet expander like this to bring along, especially if you have many devices: http://amzn.to/2zBqZfK Absolutely No, just the service charge. Exception would be alcohol or other beverages Yes, there is always somewhere on the ship open (including room service) that offers at least some beverages 24 hours.- 59 replies

Despite the name, a Junior Suite is not really a suite. Think of it as a "extra large balcony room". So you're not missing anything, Junior Suites do lack many of the perks of being "a true suite". Here's more info on Junior Suites: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/07/26/royal-caribbeans-junior-suites-what-you-need-know

It depends on the room. There isn't a blanket category of room that can necessarily accommodate 5 or not (other than some of the larger suites, naturally). When you look at the deck plans, you will often see indicators for which rooms have extra beds and whatnot.

Priority suite seating for shows exc
Matt replied to tonyfsu21's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
One note about reserved seating for Sky Class. Yes, there tends to be reserved seating but it's not the best seating. On Harmony we were in Sky Class and never used the reserved seating because it was always in the upper deck of the theater. My advice is to still make show reservations on your own. -
The Sky Class experience is pretty similar on both. I'm not the world's biggest sundeck fan, just because I have kids and since there's no pool up there, no reason for us to go. But I found both nice. One difference is the Concierge Lounge on Anthem (deck 12 aft) is quite a hassle to get to, compared to the one on Oasis class (Deck 16). FWIW, I felt like it was quite a hike to get to the concierge lounge on Anthem. Otherwise, the Sky Class experience is pretty similar and that's intentional. I don't know that one is superior to the other, just slightly different.

I agree. Not only is it not necessary to tip before, I don't see it as prudent or something to consider.

There's only one formal night on a 5 night cruise, and typically the second formal night is lobster night in MDR. So you may be out of luck

That 4 inch rule is for scissors. I know I've seen Swiss Army Knives and the like confiscated. You can roll the dice on if they catch it or not, but I'd be prepared to hand it over if they do.

I'd estimate this is the cheapest option for most families.- 59 replies

Thanks for the update! Mountain top is a bit of a tourist trap, but their view is quite nice.

Sorry, I misread the original post. Yes, if you have non-refundable you can rebook same sailing for new price.

Sounds about right. Also, "big" and "small" ships are relative terms. 20-25 years ago, Sovereign class ships were considered mega ships.
