  1. Thanks for the photos of Playa Mia! The idea of pool snorkeling is pretty cool. I think my oldest daughter would love trying it
  2. Check out this blog post about how to stay in touch while onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise.
  3. Brian is right. Just book for 1 person.
  4. Interesting, so you were able to leverage the AmEx platinum card benefits without using their TA?
  5. There are some good options that don't involve the beach in Nassau. You should listen to a podcast episode all about what to do in Nassau: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast/episode-127-shore-excursions-nassau The food tour sounded particularly interesting.
  6. From what I understand, you can reserve your rental tuxedo up until 5 days before your cruise. After that you just have to take your chances with what they have on the ship.
  7. Sabor will cater to your taste. Just speak with your waiter about how you like your food.
  8. You're right. RC contests are few and far between, but the ones they have run as of late have been social media based.
  9. They really like you, Brian
  10. Try opening your browser in Private/Incognito mode and then logging in. https://www.howtogeek.com/269265/how-to-enable-private-browsing-on-any-web-browser/
  11. Spotted in a new video by RC that shows off how the company designs ships This is the VR lab. Looks to me like a VR rendering of the new pier at Cococay?
  12. Once you complete online check-in, there will be an option to print them: https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/boardingDocuments.do?cS=NAVBAR&pnav=3&snav=2
  13. Welcome! So glad you decided to not lurk anymore! Your room will be ready at 1pm. Your luggage will be delivered at some point after. It's hard to say when, exactly but it will likely be delivered sometime in the afternoon. Rarely, it takes until later that evening. Sometimes they make an announcement that your rooms are ready, but in terms of luggage, you just have to keep checking back. Towels are provided in your stateroom for use in your shower. In terms of towels at pool and/or on excursions, you can go to the pool deck and you will find a pool towel station. They scan your seapass card and you can take as many as you like. Return at your convenience, before the end of the cruise. They then re-scan your card. No water fountains (health hazard) but there are dispensers at the quick service restaurants. Also, any bar or lounge will happily get you a glass of water for no charge. You really don't have to do anything. Since they are connecting rooms, it doesn't matter unless your kids are older and you want to have proper access to each room (i.e. your kids stay out late and you dont want them waking you up when they return). Guest Relations onboard should be able to help you. You can ask at check-in, but my guess is this is something to be handled onboard. When you register the kids, the crew will verify the age. This is done to ensure everyone in there is the right age. Every guest, including your kids, have a SeaPass card. One day is $29.99. I think there is an hourly or by the minute charge, but it's kind of pricey. You could buy one package and share the package with the kids. At $14.39/per day, it's not terribly expensive. You could also opt to wait to use the internet while in port and likely find free or low cost wifi.
  14. I've never cruised MSC, but everyone who cruised RC first and then tries MSC seems to come back with a story along the lines of "it's a very different experience"
  15. It's always a good idea to have a TA reprice. My TA reprices whenever a new promotion is announced.
  16. Try resizing your image: http://imageresize.org/
  17. I couldn't find anything from 2017, but it's about $8 each way to downtown from where RC docks.
  18. It's described as Mediterranean with California fusion. Definitely not the same as MDR.
  19. The chief disadvantage is you cannot book anything until onboard and have to eat on first 2 nights. On the plus side, you save a lot of money.
  20. Anyone can buy an all access tour via the Cruise Planner. Historically, D+ or Suite guests were offered a complimentary tour of some kind.
  21. The notion of "pushing them" for more incentives is probably not a great idea. TAs will try to find the best possible deal for you. They are not used car dealers, so what they have to offer is pretty much all they can offer without literally dipping into their own commission.
  22. Very safe in San Miguel. The walk from the port to downtown is pretty far, but taxis are easy to get.
