  2. Awesome! Maybe your 8 year old will meet my girls at adventure ocean! (They will be 9 and 10 when we cruise, 8 and 10 right now). I am getting more and more excited, since I booked it in november 2022, it feels like I have been waiting forever...

  5. If you booked a regular GTY (not an ocean view GTY) you will almost definitely be given either central park or boardwalk (but it could be an OV). You get no say whatsoever in which type or where it will be. That's the trade off for the less expensive GTY. What you can do (assuming you booked from North America) is request to be switched to any other cabin in your exact category once it is officially assigned (assuming any are still available).
  6. Stray observations, thoughts, wrap up...... So for the inconvenience they offered my brother 75% off a spa service/package. It was to be sent to his email after the first cruise. They are using a smell good in the cabins, it made the rooms feel fresher and less confined. We got individually sized amenities in the bathroom along with the all-in-one despenser in the shower. Speaking of the shower.....mine never got warm, let alone hot. I had a new plastic shower head that had great pressure. But all my showers bordered on cold. Because it was so humid on the ship, it wasn't a big deal. So I forgot to mention it but will in the survey. By day 2 the casino bartenders knew both me and my brother's drink order. One saw us when we boarded again and hugged us, saying why didn't we tell him we were B2B. He said see him at 5pm and he will let us have prime drinks before they open. We had the same table for this cruise and our servers also gave us hugs, they had hugged us last night, to thank us for tipping and enjoying the magic. No Chef's amenity on the 4n, so I don't think it will happen on the 3n. Lots more people booked specialty for this cruise. With no sea days, I was shocked by this. Lastly. People are filty. The bathrooms have been bad but for some reason people chose disembarkation day to do their worst. I'm not going to mention how disgusting it was. But also mother shenanigans. Despite me telling her we usually get off at 10am. She went to the bathroom st 9:59. Which would be okay but she has to apparently unsnap full-on corsets, because it takes her forever. 5min is the shortest. We had to wait for her, thankfully it was mostly vintages doing B2B. So we made it to th checkpoint the same time as those who left earlier. Despite doing all of this last cruise. She was brand new. Couldn't connect to internet, present the right sea pass. Asked what ship were getting on, etc. The crew were laughing at her. Especially the ones we had frequent a lot. She also still says yes to everything, despite it being a no. My brother is at his threshold.
  7. Sorry to hear... unless I'm mistaken, that menu is just a mix & match of random MDR items from different theme nights. A mystery small menu would never work for my wife anyway but I'd be disappointed too. Our Utopia B2B's are over a year away but we already talked about using turnaround day for Mason Jar brunch. Switching topics... your mom's shenanigans are literally endless! You're such a good daughter in so many ways. I hope she realizes that.
  8. The consecutive cruisers lunch was disappointing. It is held on deck 5 with the Key lunch but on opposite sides of the dining room. I guess they change the menu every so often or after each sailing. But the offerings were meh. I would haved booked specialty if I would have know it wasn't going to be the short rib. The section is small and they tried to sit us at shared tables. Some people are okay with that but my mother's shenanigans thrive on an audience, so we try to avoid that. There was a lady with the most piercing voice who got a sucker while we were going through customs and wouldn't stop talking about her pinnacle journey. She talked about trying Virgin and being disappointed. Then she took liberty and was sold on Royal........she never took a breath. She was three tables away and we could hear her all throughout lunch. I never heard anyone else and eventually tuned her out. But it really bothered my mother and she got her blood pressure up over this. After lunch we went to get laptops from the room, so my brother could work. His room was done but mine hadn't been started. We just got what we needed and went to the library. People kept coming in and being loud. Eventually it settled down and we are working. My mother is listening to her audio book and reacting. The family across from us is watching her like a hawk .

  10. Why would you need to install the RC app on a company device? You do not need the app for internet access.

  13. For me it wasn't just that there were no backs. They are at a height that, if the seats were flat, would be fine. But the seat is higher in front and dips a bit, which made it impossible for me to sit in the seat. I had to sit at the edge (I am 5' tall, and many chairs are problematic. Most benches are fine for me - these were simply so painful).
  14. Yes , Norway is a beautiful, reminded me Switzerland but with the fjords that adding allot to it.
  15. Yeah, I pulled up videos and realized they all had some sort of backing. I don't ever sit fully back to begin with so I never noticed. It's a weird thing to remove though unless they noticed everyone sits forward like me
  16. @WAAAYTOOO we do change rooms. Each leg because the first two were gty casino comps with freeplay. Sadly we couldn't go back to the room because they had a late start. My room wasn't even done when we checked after lunch. I plane to show up at 7:45 for MTD. The food has been hot and delicious, much better than the WJ imho.
  17. Got very lucky with another amazing day for our glacier viewing! We started down the Tracy Arm fjord around 6 a.m. and reached the glacier near 8. Couldn’t have begged for a better experience!
  18. We are going to book to side by side Jr Suites on Harmony, but would like to know if the small glass divider between the 2 rooms can be unlocked so that we have access to both balconies. Do they all have this feature, or just some? I'm not familiar with how they work, and have tried finding photos or videos, but no luck.
  19. Working on getting my company to approve the app on their devices. How do I get "Documented literature that RC have around security and privacy protection of the app and its data/communications" specific to the RC app? the website link was not sufficient.

  22. On the inaugural, several crew members were saying that cushions were already being ordered for the benches. It’s May now, and not sure if that ever came to fruition.
  23. There are rows with benches and actual seats with backs on the Oasis class ships while it appears Icon only has the bench seating.
  24. Hello Mike, Thank you for those information, however, I booked Guarantee which I don't know which desk that they are willing to put us in. Do you mind to share more information about Guarantee stateroom? are they willing to put us at the back of the ship? because after reading your comment It sounds interesting to us about the back room that we are able to see the ocean plus the Aqua show.
