dimysmith
Could someone send me a link of the cost per day of gratuities? I'm sailing Harmony in January, in a junior suite and I can't find any place and the person on C & A was clueless.

As far as know, it's $14.50pp/day for JS and under and $17.50pp/day for GS and above.
rjac
Yep, Loveto is correct . "The automatic gratuity is $14.50 USD, or $17.50 USD for suite guests, applied to each guest's SeaPass account on a daily basis. The gratuity applies to individual guests of all ages and stateroom categories".
Sioux Hockey
We haven't prepaid the gratuity. Is that something is recommended ? Also if we don't prepay is it automatically added to our credit card on file with our SeaPass? Finally, how does paying the bill at the end of your cruise work? First cruise coming up in 45 days! Freedom of the Seas. Thanks for the help.
rjac
Yes, prepaying gratuities before cruising is the best way to go. I usually prepay 60 days out so that I don't have a huge credit card bill after the cruise. If you don't prepay, the gratuity is automatically added to your on board at midnight every day. If you set up your on board account with your credit card everything you buy on board will be charged against that credit card. The other option is to NOT have a credit card on the account. Then you get to stand in a very long line at customer services and pay your bill before you will be allowed to disembark, and that can take some time (not fun) I strongly recommend setting up your on board account with a credit card. You can also track your daily charges on the tv in your cabin. Sioux Hockey
KJ1231
Book your cruise with MEI Travel and let them pay your gratuities If you don't plan to spend alot on board paying at the end may not be a big deal....
F1guynz
Luckily for those of us booking through the Australian website, gratuities are included in the cruise price so we don’t see them. Drinks have an 18% automatically added “for our convenience” when purchasing drinks. i prefer this to having to the previous way of having to pay them separately.
