Carlos A.
Hi! It's my first time in Falmouth so I don't have any ideas of what to do. I saw on a map that Falmouth is between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay but I'm not sure how close are those ports to Falmouth. I am looking for something quiet and relaxing, preferably on a beautiful beach. What do you recommend?
tiny260
I'm doing "resortforaday", picked one of the resorts that accepts kids because I will have my Grandson with me on this cruise (Hyatt Ziva), otherwise I would have selected an adults only. If you research Dunn's Rivers fall or the Blue Hole, it seemed like the drive was 2 hours and the cost was not favorable. I would have loved to do Dunn's River again to relive a moment from our past but didn't want the long bus ride (Or Taxi). JLMoran
Reservations are made by going to www.resortforaday.com, selecting the resort you want to book a day at, and paying through that site. They handle the reservation work and getting everything set up, so that pretty much all you need to worry about when you get to the port is just making your way to the resort and checking in. twangster
Falmouth is a port where I always try to do an excursion. There are no beaches close by without transportation of some sort. If you are the type of person who prefers booking through Royal you can preview their Falmouth excursion offers here: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/destinations/shoreExcursions/subGateWayByPort/search.do?LocationCode=FMT&pager.offset=0 Blue Water Beach is close by and offered as transportation only or all-inclusive: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/shoreExcursions/product/detail/view.do?sourcePage=shorexByPort&ProductCode=FYQ8&DestinationCode= http://www.royalcaribbean.com/shoreExcursions/product/detail/view.do?sourcePage=shorexByPort&ProductCode=FYY9&DestinationCode= They have other beach excursions but pay attention to drive time depending on where the resort or beach is. I don't know if Royal offers resorts for a day type of excursions, I'm sure they might on some islands. I'm Diamond level and feel comfortable making and booking excursions by myself, I looked at Google maps and the resort I picked is about a 20 minute taxi ride, so I figured I was in pretty good shape to be on time for the departure, but you might not be comfortable, I understand... twangster
Just now, carlosalonsor said: Blue Water Beach sounds nice. Would you recommend that tour? In the past Red Stripe Beach was the default or go to Beach transfer. That beach was consumed by a hotel being constructed next to it so RCI stopped offering Red Stripe Beach transfers. The way I see it, this is the replacement excursion of a similar nature but now offered in an all-inclusive and transfer-only versions. Red Stripe was transfer only. I've not been to this beach so I can't provide more insight but it's something I might try on my next stop there. Carlos A.

Carlos A.
There is also this option but I've heard bad reviews about this place http://www.royalcaribbean-espanol.com/shoreExcursions/product/detail/view.do?sourcePage=shorexByPort&ProductCode=FY1C&DestinationCode=
function12
We did Rose Hall several years ago. It was OK. It was our first time to Jamaica and it was a little depressing. If we were to ever go again. I think we would just stay in the port area and then hang out on the ship. Carlos A.

Yes. it took 2 hours but really interesting to see loco village and I shopped Coffee Beans which sold double price at port!! On the way back, we saw “ tube river” and asked him to stop. Kids having a great time. I’ll sure to use this company next time. Carlos A.
