Six section thing on luggage tag not filled at all

The weird six sectional thing which I’ve seen to have colored in some quadrants with letters. My luggage tag is not colored in there. This is my first cruise so im not sure what to do.

Be sure to have your cabin number on the tag, attach to your suitcase, hand it to a porter & get on the ship!

do you have a guarantee cabin? That's the only reason I can think of that it wouldn't be filled out - although it ought to at least have the sailing info (ship & date)on it

Yeah it has the ship and date on it. I think they just haven’t updated the tags yet. I had a guarantee cabin up until last night, when I was upgraded to a different one.

I don't mean to be critical but I think you need a better stapler.  The porters have good staplers.

I just print my luggage tags and fold them the best I can and I let the porter staple them on.  Sometimes I forget to print the baggage tags but the porter will have blank tags. The porter writes my stateroom number on them and staples those on.  The porters always seem happy to do this for me so I tip them well. I just hope my bags get to my stateroom relatively soon otherwise I get worried.  I have never had a lost bag but the whole process worries me sometimes. 

I would think a fair number of those paper tags get torn off.  I use those plastic holders with the metal rings when I can find them.

The real purpose of self printed tags (Royal's or anyone else) is quick instruction in origami............and folding along the lines.

Yeah the only stapler I have really sucks lol it takes a few tries. And yeah I have one of those plastic holders with the rings as well.

Luggage tags literally mean nothing except for they have your stateroom number. It doesn't matter your status or if you're a suite guest or anything.
