Senate54245
I am looking at booking a 2025 Panama Canal cruise departing in April 2025. I will be sailing on the Harmony of the Seas on May 19, 2024. Would it be better to book now with my travel agent or wait and book on the Harmony and get some of the benefits for booking on the cruise ship and transfer my booking to my travel agent when we get back home? Ampurp85
Welcome to the boards, The only difference is a reduced deposit and some OBC. I guess another benefit is price. Between now and May the cost of this cruise could double, so any "benefits" could be negatable if the price increase. If you want a specific room or category, you also would be better not to wait. smokeybandit
It's always better to book now since any delay could see the price increase beyond any perks you'd get on board. Ryan79
Ryan79
Waiting any length of time to book will generally only end up being more expensive. Any OBC or reduced deposit that you “might” get will likely be more than offset by an increase in cruise fare.
Biaggio
Book now and if the price drops you can get a credit
steverk
Call your travel agent. Ask if they have a group rate for this cruise. If they do, book it now at the group rate! If not, I'd still book it. OCSC Mike
USFFrank
If you plan on booking with a refundable deposit, do it now. Once on the ship, reserve a time at Next Cruise to see if there's a price difference. If there is a savings and/or the onboard credit is worth it, cancel the one you booked, and re-book it there and then. You should also be able to get the same cabin you originally booked too. BTW if you do book at Next Cruise it would be non refundable.
