Group Dining

We just booked the march 16th 2024 odyssey of the seas and I was able to talk some friends into booking with us and it turned into a group cruise. Can anyone confirm how we can all communicate on the ship without the internet package? Also if we hit up the main dining room on day one, would it be possible for all of us to sit together in the main dining room every night?

Thank you in advance for your replies!

Hi @Nick560.  Sounds like fun!

Without the internet package you can still use the Royal Caribbean App and that will allow you to communicate on the ship.

For dining if you call RC, they can link the reservations and then you will be placed at the same table(s) for dinner.  If that somehow fails, you have the right idea and a visit to the dining room upon boarding should get it straightened out.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thank you! Are you able to connect rooms via the app or can you only communicate with people in your own stateroom? We will have 4 separate rooms throughout the ship. 2 couples picked their cabin and 2 rolled the dice with a guaranteed cabin.

You can link the other 3 reservations to yours and then about a month before your cruise send an email to: rcldining@rccl.com to request a table for 8.  On the subject line provide the ship name and sailing date.  In your message…provide the 4 reservation numbers and stateroom numbers and passenger names.  Also note the dining time you all chose.

Enjoy!

Can you confirm if we will be able to get a table for 11? 8 adults and 3 children.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure on a table for 11.  We had 17 (12 adults and 5 kids/teens) and I requested 2 tables…one for 9 and one for 8.  The table for 9 was a long rectangular table and very likely could have accommodated 2 more.  We were on the Oasis and I would assume all dining rooms generally are similar.

Best you can do is put that in your email.  Doesn’t sound like an unreasonable request.  Hope it works out for you!

10 years ago on explorer we had a group of 11 in 4 rooms &;we all were assigned the same table. 12 is probably the max. We were in the back of the dining room, which probably made it easier for them
