skittermagoo
Title says it all . . . if I have excursions booked through the ship and the weather in port is bad enough to cancel them (say, thunderstorms and a snorkeling excursion, for example), will they be refunded, or am I just outta luck? WAAAYTOOO
The cruise line will cancel an excursion but they will do everything they can not to cancel….so the circumstances have to be pretty severe. Rain forecast for a beach/boat trip will usually not be enough to cause a cancellation.
ellcee
For my September trip lightning was forecasted so we were able to get our money back for the excursion. WAAAYTOOO
WesKinetic
@WAAAYTOOO hit it on the head--if it is cancelled, you will automatically be refunded. But for them to cancel, the weather would have to be something that could truly threaten the safety of the excursion. So, in your thunderstorm example, they could cancel the excursion if there is a risk of lightning in the area or if the winds would be so bad as to make travel to the snorkeling site unsafe. But outside of that, excursions are generally considered "rain or shine" events. teddy and WAAAYTOOO

D Alt
Yes, it's happened many times with me. Sometimes you don't even know they've canceled until you attempt to do that activity. But they always refund you right away.
