What about hot tubs?  

 

Seems as dangerous as the pools, considering the heat of the water.  Mix that with drinking alcohol and it could get dicey.

 

 

 

Perhaps I should apply for one of these jobs.  As small as the pools are, I wouldn't have to swim much - just be buoyant.  And I'm definitely that!

So will there be one for each pool on board....so 2-3 lifeguards now on every cruise ship?

 

if so, that has got to have some cost to it?!

In this case, I'm not sure you can place a price on the safety of guests, especially children.

It is not common place to place one's head under the water in a hot tub. Plus, you do not have to know how to swim in a hot tub because even children can just stand up.
