Moby Dick
Question for anybody that is an authoritarian on TAs and THEIR onboard credits. I've got a ton of OBCs from my TA, but they don't show up into my onboard account until I get on board. I can't use them pre-cruise for anything other than purchasing the TA's 3rd Party Excursion company, pre-cruise. However, my questions is, can I use the TA's OBCs onboard for ANYTHING, like in the casino, like what SpeedNoodles said in another post? I can and have asked my TA and I've been told by her, YES! But, I'd like a little back-up on that. If it wasn't for the $1,800.00+ OBCs, I'd not use this TA (Company). I never have a "warm fuzzy" when I ask questions. The answers are always - could, should, maybe, if, but, however, that's the way it was last year, .......................... If you have had TAs OBCs (not Royal Caribbean OBCs) added to your onboard account, have you used them in the casino? I'm asking about the casino in particular because, other than shopping in the onboard shops and excursions purchase while onboard (which I don't do much of), there's really no other place I can use the OBCs. My cruise is basically an "All Inclusive". So, that leaves, virtually, only the casino. Edited in: Opps, actually it's approx, $1,600.00, a couple hundred from Royal! smokeybandit
Once OBC is put into your account, the source of it no longer matters. It's all a generic OBC. Moby Dick and VirtKitty

AshleyDillo
As stated it all goes to offset what is charged to your onboard account. The only difference is that nonrefundable OBC wouldn't be refunded if you don't spend it all. They do apply the nonrefundable credit first though. wordell1
The TA OBCs often show up on day 2 of your cruise. I'm not sure why.
Sharla
I put an OBC on a reservation recently and when I asked they said it would not be available pre-cruise. Only onboard.
