micahd
Freedom of the Seas B2B. Traveling with baby that will be 8 months old at the time of sailing. I understand that baby won’t need to be tested beforehand but we’re traveling with another family booked separately and have some questions. All adults and kids are vaccinated except 8 month old. Scenario 1 : all 7 of us in the main dining room. Can we link reservations? If we do are all of us consider unvaxed for the entire cruise? Scenario 2 : mom and dad go to a Izumi and leave baby with auntie. Will we be allowed in Izumi? Scenario 3 : we sit down at the schooner bar with baby and order a drink. (We would be asked to leave, right? Since this venue is only for vaxed?)
Pooch
I believe answer to every question is yes. WAAAYTOOO and micahd 1
micahd
So, if Auntie links her reservation to ours, eats in the unvaccinated MDR. She is now unvaccinated for her entire cruise? Can’t visit schooner bar or solarium, even by herself?

No. Your entire party will be seated in the unvax section of the MDR, but individually everyone other than the baby is considered vaccinated. You can leave the baby with auntie and go anywhere, or if you have the baby auntie can go anywhere. You'll get a colored bracelet at check in indicating your Vax status. Pooch
Right, which is why the answer to scenario #2 is yes. Any time you are with the baby, you are “unvaccinated”. Any time you are NOT with the baby, you are vaccinated. Neesa
micahd
Thanks @Poochand @melmar02. I had thought that was the case but things are so confusing right now. I really appreciate the help and understanding. Pooch

Hanging out with unvaccinated people or in unvaccinated areas does NOT make you lose your band. Vaccinated people with the bands can go anywhere and everywhere they want in the ship all they want. Just because you eat with your unvaccinated children/relatives does NOT make you become “unvaccinated” for the cruise. The only thing you CANNOT do is take unvaccinated children in “vaccinated only” areas and that includes unvaccinated infants.
