RobWhatley
Hey Gang! Afterthought! Are we allowed to carry a small folding pocket knife onto the ship? It's the Swiss Army Knife. I'm so used to having it. It has a toothpick, small scissors, and is just "handy" to have. Leaving "TOMORROW". :) Thanks for any input. monctonguy
I do not believe so...on my cruise in April on Enchantment my travel partner had one in her checked luggage...never thought about it.....suitcase was held and she had to pick up the knife at the end of the cruise.... lildawgscottFL
For the record, I brought my little swiss army knife. But, when I say "little," I mean little. It's about the size of your pinky finger. Had it in my carry-on bag. RobWhatley
FloatMe
They confiscated by best man's pocket knife, which was a groomsman gift, from his checked bag. And my sister had her swiss army knife confiscated from her carry on. Both were retrieved after the cruise. RobWhatley
sulross
I have one in my toilet kit that I bring all the time. I do not carry on or have in my carry on backpack. Just put in suitcase and should be there when you receive them.

Just put in suitcase and should be there when you receive them. I think enforcement of their policy is a bit random. As mentioned above, my best man had to retrieve his luggage from the naughty room on the first night of the cruise because he had packed his pocket knife. jticarruthers
I think the best answer is : Per the rules - no you are not. However, RCI is notoriously inconsistent in enforcing their own rules, so , if you try there is a good chance you will get away with it, but be prepared to have them take it away from you. DocLC
I've had a pair of small surgical scissors in my check luggage for every cruise and have never had it confiscated. I think the concern with pocket knives is more of an issue with the tools on the knife than the knife itself. After all, have you seen the size of the steak knife at Chops? :)
