Norfolkhall
Hi everybody it's my first post. We are going on a Mediterranean cruise on Jewel in September and if we can succeed in avoiding our relatives on embarkation and the muster meeting we would like to surprise them as we have kept it a secret from them for over a year now! Any ideas of "how to spring one on them" all suggestions will be taken on board (excuse pun)! Thanks. RWDW1204

HeWhoWaits
If you know their travel plans, you can try to either board much earlier than they do and hide out somewhere that they almost certainly won't go OR board as late as possible to minimize the chance of running into them (but that reduces your vacation time). As for muster, that will depend on whether your muster stations are near each other or not - tough to control that piece. Big question - why would you want to avoid them all day on embarkation day? Appearing in their presence any time once onboard will still be a big surprise. Why not board early and be waiting for them when they enter the ship? SURPRISE! We (through talking to them) we have mirrored there shore excursions in our cruise planner. We are booked in only 7 staterooms down from them. We've got an idea that they will be on board around lunchtime the same as ourselves! I was thinking if it was possible to tag onto there my time dining and join them for dinner but not sure of there dining reservation time!
