Hi. We are from th UK and are on the Jewel doing a 7 night western med this month. We have drinks packages booked and plan to roam the different restaurants nightly. My gratuities are all paid in advance. Do I need to take dollars with me? I'm not sure as I've never done an American cruise line before. Any advice greatly received.

Just a passing thought are the spirit measures "doubles" ie 50ml say in a gin and tonic?

Just a thought! We have to be at Rome Airport by midday and was planning on leaving the ship around 9am. As we will be using a shared shuttle service.. Question.. Can I just grab my own bags and disembark when I want? Cheers.

Thanks for the response. We (through talking to them) we have mirrored there shore excursions in our cruise planner. We are booked in only 7 staterooms down from them. We've got an idea that they will be on board around lunchtime the same as ourselves! I was thinking if it was possible to tag onto there my time dining and join them for dinner but not sure of there dining reservation time!

Hi everybody it's my first post. We are going on a Mediterranean cruise on Jewel in September and if we can succeed in avoiding our relatives on embarkation and the muster meeting we would like to surprise them as we have kept it a secret from them for over a year now! Any ideas of "how to spring one on them" all suggestions will be taken on board (excuse pun)! Thanks.
