Clay Purvis
I am a returning cruiser and a member of C&A. I am still on the bottom rung as I have only taken a couple of cruises. I was watching some youtube videos and several mentioned that there is usually a welcome aboard party for C&A members. How far up the ladder do you have to be for that? Is this on all ships? How will you know if you are invited? I am cruising on Enchantment in November.

Clay Purvis
I figured it was for the higher ups. Thanks.
Ditchdoc
From my experience, RCCL hosts at least two C&A parties. One is for all C&A members, a 'Welcome Back' party. A second is held for Platinum and up. There may be others for the rare air of Diamond or Diamond+ members etc. In either case, you get an invitation sent to your room included with the daily delivery of the Cruise Compass. I guess it could vary with the room attendant but they usually do an nice job of propping it up on your pillow or putting it in the "hands" of a towel monkey etc. Some of the newer ships do this electronically via mail delivery on your TV. The higher level C&A members usually get invites to all the parties they are eligible for so they could end up going to 2 or 3. There is not much (if any) difference in the parties. Crew welcome you, give you a drink/snack and a band plays music. Someone (Captain, hotel manager, cruise director etc) will usually speak for a few minutes about something (RCCL news, new ships, loyalty programs etc.). All in all its a nice event and makes you feel special
twangster
Platinum and higher are invited to a "Top Tier" event. It's a one time event on a specific day. Diamond and higher have a nightly happy hour that is hosted in the Diamond Lounge when the ship has one (all but Empress and Majesty). On those two ships there may be something like the sail away party on Empress for higher top tier members.
tradercj
I am Platinum and I am bring someone with me that has never been on a cruise before. Can they come with me to the "Top Tier" event because they are in the same cabin as me?

Anthem was more thorough at inspecting cards compared to other ships.

You can have them just stand outside and wave at them from inside the party show them what they are missing - heh. #kidding SpeedNoodles and JennyB
WannaCruise
I remember way back on Allure a few years ago it was Gold and up (as we were Gold but we got an invitation). I guess they've changed it in recent years. We're now Platinum so also got invited on Symphony. There is a card that is placed in your stateroom with place and time.
