  1. Hi - this is our first time cruising, and we’d appreciate some guidance for what level room(s) to get. We’re doing a four night cruise on the Utopia next December. At that point our kids will be 20, 19, and 17. We were planning to book a sky class junior suite, but we’re realizing that just will not give us enough room. So our options are to do two sky class suites (which, $$!!!), or forego the sky class and do two connecting rooms. Does anyone have thoughts? Are the sky class benefits worth it? We are newbies and would greatly appreciate any thoughts and guidance!
  2. Just saw on another forum/website that deposits for a suite are changing from the standard deposit to 10% of the cruise fare per guest fleetwide starting June 1st. They are also becoming non-refundable.
  3. Hi, all! Really curious to know if anyone has been informed about their RoyalUp bids for this sailing? Also if anyone knew anything about the Ultimate Panoramic Suite? I was doing research and its surprising how little anyone has shared about the experience
  4. What is the difference between the royal loft and the aqua theatre suites? Do they have different amenities? Does the upper bedroom have a pull out bed also? Trying to determine between these two suite choices. Thank you.
  5. I have never stayed in a suite before (usually just balcony rooms), however because of the pandemic and several cancelled cruises we are considering combining them and go for a suite on one of the new Anthem sailings from the UK. It would probably be one of the smaller suites so I am wondering what the differences are between Junior Suites and a Grand Suite one bedroom as they seem fairly similarly priced from what I can tell. Also what perks do you get through booking a suite as apposed to a standard balcony and is it worth it? Thanks
  6. I'll be sailing in March on Freedom of the Seas and staying in a two-bedroom Grand Suite. We have traveling companions who are staying in a Junior Suite. I know we have access to the Concierge Club, with they also be able to use it? Also, what's the best perk of being in a suite? Thanks in advance for any feedback!
  7. Does the Liberty have a reserved pool chairs section for suite guest? Where is the CL? (Concierge) Where is the DL? (Diamond) Are they together in the Viking Crown Lounge?
  8. First post! Planning to surprise my two children with a cruise next June during my son's *slim* window of opportunity to take a vacation. They will be 17 and 10 at the time. Traveling as a single mom with them, I'm wanting to have as much assistance as possible, so wanted to do a Suite in order to have priority boarding and luggage assistance, plus concierge service. They both wanted to visit PR or Jamaica, so thought Freedom of the Seas from San Juan would be perfect! Also saw this is a good ship for 'first-timers' since it's not as large as the Quantum Class (although we're not technically 1st time cruisers, only have done Disney but I think they've outgrown that and Disney ships are very limited in activities after you've done them so many times!) Is this a good choice or is the ship too small compared to Harmony, to find activities? Is the up price for Suite worth it or should I just do a JS (because we WILL need the extra room for sure!) Any advice greatly appreciated!
  9. We are in a 2 bedroom Grand suite on Grandeur and I know I can order dinner off the MDR menu and have it delivered to our room for dinner. Is this also true for MDR breakfast or lunch or is that off of room service menu and is that free for suites? I am also looking for MDR example dinner menus specifically for Grandeur. On the menu page on this site Grandeur was not listed and all I am finding online are old menus which I know are not the same anymore. Thank you!
  10. I know, I'm dreaming, hoping for a better answer than what is reality, but thought I would ask the experts. Does RCCL hold back any suites and then release them before sailing? I'm not asking for a free upgrade here, I'm willing to pay the difference, when I call C&A, I'm told there are no suites available. I booked the cruise I'm getting ready to go on really late (Liberty OTS, Galveston, May 28th), I normally book 9-12 months in advance, but this time frame opened up and thought I would take a quick cruise, when I booked my Junior Suite, I was told there were no suites available, I was already in the 75 day last payment due window, so I figured everybody had either already paid or cancelled. Like I said, just hoping, but knowing what reality is...
  11. Hello, We are planning a large family get together and it would be very convenient to book the 2 bedroom AquaTheater Suit on Decks 9 or 10 (for 7 or 8 people). The cruise will be in June 2018 (to coincide with my daughter's 21st birthday). We are willing to be a little flexible on our dates, but want the cruise to start on or after her birthday, preferably within 2-3 weeks. I know the suites are hard to get a that time of year and that the cruise itineraries should be announced sometime between January and March/April 2017, based on the rumor board discussions. So my questions for all of you with experience on this: 1. Is this a realistic goal or will they be booked as soon as the itineraries are announced? 2. If it is realistic, is there a best way to go about this (getting a private TA lined up prior to the itineraries being released or working directly with a RC TA?). Unfortunately for me, I have low level status on a competitor's line (6 cruises), but nothing on RC.... yet. Based on the amenities and such, I'm sure my wife and I will become long time RC cruisers. 3. Does RC hold these particular cabins for larger groups? Obviously, I will attempt to get these cabins and fall back to other options if the AquaTheater suite is not available (like the 4BR Family Suite). We will be getting at least one additional cabin and possibly 3 or 4, depending on family's availability - so in some ways the 4BR is convenient. However, we also know that it might be nice for everyone to have separate cabins (for solitude...). Thanks for the assist and happy cruising all! Gary
  12. Looking to see if anyone has experienced the new Royal Suite Class service since it kicked off on May 1st.
  13. Being that my next cruise isn't until June 16' and RCCL just announced that they will be "putting some meat on the bones" of the amenities that passengers who book suites receive: WHAT DO YOU THINK IT WILL LOOK LIKE? Will it be a copy of Celebraties program? WIll there be different categories for different suite types? WIll it impact free upgrades? I realize this topic may be short lived, because they could release details any day, but for now....What are your thoughts?
  14. Ok, so I want to tap into the brain of anyone who has been on the Oasis since the refurb and has been able to see or take photos of the new suites added to the Oasis overlooking the Aquatheater. Specifically the ones Deck 11 and above, these were the secret balconies before the dry dock. RCCL has them classified as A2-A4, and their website gives square footage but no current images. I booked my cruise for June 16' and was able to reserve a A1 on deck 8, but curious about these newer additions. Photos and Feedback appreciated. B-
  15. Quickie question: What's the discount on suites once we reach platinum? or emerald? etc? Is it a certain percentage off?
